Actually, my wife was driving the Marauder. I was driving my 2000 Mustang GT on our way home (I left the GT at a friends when I pickeup the MERC). Anyway we were driving on the freeway and I am cruising along at 75-80 when she pulls up beside me smiles and stomps on it! I drop her down to 3rd but the Marauder pulls slightly past me all the way to around 95-100. Then I think to my self Ahh, thats the reason why I purchased her! Not bad for a 4100lb beast.

From a stop, stock? No.
From a roll, or modded, yes.

With 4.10s and a tune I'm within a tenth or 2 +/- of most stock 05+ Mustang Gt's here at the track. From a stoplight, I usually catch them napping...

yes but 04 and pre GT's with the 4.6 2v, is easy competition. Even my brothers explorer can dust those.

what about against an f-body? i don't have that much trouble againt
3rd gens, and ls1 kick my ass bad (my bro has a 02 firehawk...385hp
to the crank, tires spining he flys by me). but how fast is a stock 05+ stang gt?

Don't be mistaken young one and don't dog the 2v's. A well modded 2v will dust any 4v off the line and in the low end if the 4v isn't S/C'd.

I've taken an LS1 Camaro with mods. It was an auto though. 6 spd I would be toast.

I agree:coolman: you have to remember the Mustang is only around 3400lbs. With gears, tune and a decent CAI she will do low/mid 13s. Just suprised at how well the MM pulls at those speeds for a 4100lb beast:cool:

If its a 96-98 GT maybe? but a 99-04 GT 5spd :beatnik:. With the Mustang they came with 3.27 gears; that is the first thing every mustang owner swaps out. 3.73 or 4.10 and its a different animal altogether. With my 3.55, I can take LT1s Camaros and TAs. I even ran a 97SS (LT1) with cams, gears, headers, exhuast and took him with my buddy in the passenger seat. He said he was 330hp to the wheels and was like WTF do you have? I replied gears and exhaust:burnout:
