Does anyone know where I could get a set of steel wheels to meet the MM specs? I would like to tone down the look and save my spoked wheels. Do I have to buy custom made steel wheels? What are the specs?

Thanks if you feel like asking my question.

Cheers

No, you will not find 18x8 5x4.5(114.3) 50mm offset rims in steel, but you can look now that you have the spec.

You can, however use the 16" CrownVic Police rims (CVPI) as many do for winter and at least one has done as a daily. You will need to shop tires that match the stock overall diameter/revs-per-mile/circumference.

Yes they do...sort of. Not 100% exact but they'll fit just fine without sticking out or rubbing the inside and according to BFG's website, you could use the stock tires on these rims since the rims are within the acceptable range for the tires. :)

18x7.5, 44mm offset (very close to 18x8, 50mm offset)

Can you use PI wheels and tires,? do they fit and does it mess up anything such as TC because of the size difference.

I beg to differ. I checked once on a 2006 Eddie Bauer with the steel 18" spare. It is also 18" x 7.5" . I just haven't tried it out on my MM for fit.

I'm still right! It's not 18x8 with 50mm.

However, they are an acceptable fit. Just doin my part to put the specs out there. Hope those rims work out for ya. I just thank goodness I don't have those snow problems here, in FL!!!

:D
