View Full Version : Police Car Accessories
A long time ago there was some thread where there was a link to a site which sold accessories for CV police cars. I want to look for a police trunk organizer, since the factory ones for our cars are almost 300 bucks for a piece of Tupperware.
Anyone know of a site with police stuff like that?

I checked Galls, and found a trunk organizer, but the pictures are pretty small and I can't tell if it's the one with the same dimensions as the MM organizer that is supposed to fit flush into the well of the trunk, or if it sticks up some, or what.

Which trunk organizer are you looking for? The one that was a factory option or the one that the police use that keeps things parallel with the fuel tank?

DANG! For a second I thought that was exactly what I was looking for. Then I saw that it's $140 without a lid and $100 extra for the plastic lid! Maybe I can buy it without the lid and just make a lid for it.

Only go to galls if you have money to waste. Everything they have can be had for at least 20% less elsewhere!!!

Well, since I've never actually seen one in person, I just want a covered bin that fits flush with the top of the trunk well. If it had compartments inside that you can arrange, that would be a plus, but not totally necessary.

Ross, I'll build you a copy of my 3/4" plywood, hinged and handled false floor. I'll try to do pics later.
I wanted FLAT and none, I mean none of the plastic stuff out there gave me flat, so I MADE flat. Nope, it ain't gonna bow or warp, neither.
3/4" plywood? That must be a heavy biotch! Sturdy, though.

No heavier than an empty tupperware or copstyle organizer!

I coated mine with diamond plate aluminum (what else, right?), but it could be carpet or formica or anything.

Ross, I'll seriously build you one if you find nothing else to satisfy yourself.
That's beautiful work! Until I looked at the pics, I didn't realize that you basically built a cover for the well, and not an actual box that fits down into the well. That's why I thought it would be so heavy. A complete box would have a lot more wood in it, but yours serves the same purpose, and it's purty, too! :bows:

Just go to ford and get the kevlar one...
The one at pro-gard lists for $268, so it's about as expensive as the factory one. Hate paying that much for a glorified piece of Tupperware.
Kevlar? Hmmmm, that could be interesting...
And yes, I checked with my buddy Wes who has hooked me up with some good things in the past. He can't do much better than the high prices already quoted.

Not too bad. Not really at all if I'm driving like a human.
For when the lunatic comes out, that's why I put those handles/tie downs and have my matching green bungee cords!!!
The groceries don't move on the way home. Department store packages don't really move. Leslie got suitcases that fit perfect and interlock with one another and don't move. Occasionally I'll carry a box or something and throw a strap on it.
