First thing's first... I love 94-96 Impala SS's. I always have. They were my inspiration for going out and buying my MM. As far as I'm concerned, we're all united under the "Giant Black Speedboat with Tires" category.

I just clicked over to the NAISSO Forums to mingle with some SS owners and swap ideas... ya know, friendly neighborly stuff. The first thread I click into is about how WEAK and WORTHLESS the MM is. I almost lost my lunch. :puke: I figured that maybe it was just one persons view. So I hopped to another thread. :shake:

This one told a story of an MM getting ripped apart during a 65-110 mph highway race (where the MM had the jump!):bs:. Then everyone chimes in about how crappy the MM's are!! The guy who posted the thread then dubs our cars the "M-Rotter"!! Then it was all about the MM being an SS rip-off. :mad2: :fire:

Only one person replied to the thread and gave us credit for having a nice ride. He even admitted to getting smoked by an MM (I don't doubt it was modded, but still).

Can't we all just get along? We need to unite and stand as one against the Republic of the Ricers! This Ford vs. Chevy stuff has got to go! :nono:

Interesting...we had a troll here a while back that used the screen name "MrotterKilla"...spewed the same crap about the MM being "worthless and weak"...etc... :shake:

There's no call for trashing someone else's ride (unless it's a ricer :D )...especially another AMERICAN ride...I'd like to see their SSs stand up to a Nissan Skyline...

It's just upsetting. I have a lot of respect for the LT1 B-Bodies. I was under the impression that they'd also have respect for the MM. GUESS NOT

BTW... "Bring us... a Shrubbery!" ----- HAHAHAHAHHA

Who cares what a bunch of little nancy-boys think. They wanna run me? Fine, come to L.I. and I will run them. Otherwise I consider them a pack of gonad-less, posers. I have run with even a Z06 vette and gotten respect, so they damn sure will be watching my tailamps. Bottom line is that the guys I have met at shows and cruises give mucho respect and we tend to stick together as the 2ton+ crew. So the half-wits on that site are thankfully not indicative of my personal experience.

I also have been to that forum and have seen the MM. ripped pretty badly. We also have several SS guys that frequent our forum and have been both helpful with suggestions and respectful of our rides, one of my best friends owns a beautiful black 96' SS and I have always liked his ride and he is very impressed with my MM. There will always be Ford and Chevy guys that carry the rivalry to a stupid extreme, but just like in battle... you respect your enemy when he fights bravely....my .02 worth.

Ford vs Chevy will go on till the end of time! As far as bashing the MM it just goes to show the class of the group on that board. All SS owners I have met are cool people. I think they feel bad because Chevy put the SS out again as FWD. (Now that hurts.)
Best to stay away from that crew. (Unless you meet up with them on the right street. )

Hey Ryan,

Last time at Island we had two 96'ish Black Impala SS's from Pennsylvania (from POSSI club I think) Cool guys, we raced them all night and I came over to conversate, cool people indeed! One had a 6 speed in it and was running high 14's, my car barely beat his.

talk is cheap, we need to get our meets back together with them and than everyone will forget the differences.... we used to do a ton of Panther/B-body NYC meets and never had any problems with people dissing each other's cars.

It's their site, they can say whatever they wish there, they're not talking trash over here so really, what does it matter. If they come here and strat talking trash LML or Logan will hit the button and end the problem pretty quickly,so no worries. We're never going to convert the rest of the world into being Marauder lovers and in a way that's good,it leaves more of them for those who really do enjoy them. Live and let live,no?

I wonder how many of those 7-9 year old cars are still stock after all those years? Gotta think that the 'enthusiasts' that have kept 'em so shiny have also bolted on a few go-faster bits over the years, 'eh?

Give the MM community a few months / years to catch up.

Next time you talk with an SS owner with anything but a '96, ask 'em how they like that high performance column shifter. And the lack of a factory tach. Heh.

Hey I am a big fan of the SS.....in fact if there was no SS then I would not probably own a MM.....but I guess I would be a little irate too if Chevy did my baby smaller and FWD as well.....

But one of them....maybe even the President of the NAISSO likes the Marauder enough to own a domain name Marauder domain name..... Once again jealousy rears it's ugly head :D
