A guy here that goes by the name, 1kftlbs sold me my 03 300a and ironically handed me $6k tonight for it. So, So SO sad to see it drive away.
Although I am so grateful that I cannot possibly express it for walking away from an accident that surely would have killed or maimed me had I not been in my MM, It still is hard to swallow seeing a car totaled that was able to be driven away.
After the dust settled:
6k for the wrecked car
$5800 from the insurance co
$2700 from the accident I got into the day I bought the car ( no damage )
Total $14500.00
I paid $14k for it 18 months ago so I did really well.
I will step out of the MM's for now and get a new HHR to drive daily ( I have credit issues and getting a new car will fix this)
I say thanks to all of you that helped and encouraged me to do my own mods, repairs and maintenance. You guys are the best and I wish all of you all health , wealth and prosperity.
Take Care and God Bless
Donnie

Hmmmm.....that's like saying that all the country needs to see happen is a few more subprime mortgages booked and the mortgage debacle will clear up. :bs:
Well, sorry to see you go, even if your economic theories boggle the imagination.

I dont have an economic theory Marty.
#1. I need a new car
#2. My credit is jacked up from the years of irresponsible drug use
#3. I have 5 years sobriety time, now I need to repair said credit
#4. A major purchase paid off on time if not early certainly will help
#5. I can put the majority of the purchase down cash
#6. Dad is co-signing so I can get a decent rate.
Please correct me if I am wrong?

I'm with Zack, man. Buying new won't be better for your credit than buying used. You can get a loan for a used car, just as easily (or even easier) than for a new car.
I did. I went to AAA and they hooked me up with a credit union that gave good terms. The used car loan will effect a credit rating just like a new car loan would. Really... If you like HHRs better than MMs than go for it :shake:
But man, if you are serious, and think you actually need to buy one of those you are dead wrong. You can buy anything you want, and have it work toward rebuilding your credit... I can't see anyone who used to drive a Marauder happy behind the wheel of one of those;)
