While on vacation in North Florida with my wife and son we decided to visit Denni's shop and we wound up doing a little shopping also. First I will like to thank Dennis for his hospitality and openness with his shop and in allowing us to test drive his personal MM. he just flipped me the keys and said "take it for a drive see what you think" so we did, and now I know what many of you already know: that the Stage 1 package is a reasonably priced way to a tremendous launch !!! So when we came back from that ride he says "now let me show what the supercharged one does" and he took the 3 of us for a ride that seem more like an F-14 launching from a carrier. I completely understand now why you should upgrade your brakes with this package because 0--80 takes place so incredibly fast that you better be able to stop damm fast!!! Well after that I wanted a bit of the action and with the wife encouraging me along we had Dennis do his magic programming (no chip), plugs and stat. Very impressive same car and yet not the same. Have driven the car home now and this are my observations:
1) The soft spot from a dead stop is gone instead you get a shove in the back and head jerk.
2) The shifts are rock solid and actually raise the front end on 1-2 and 2-3.
I realize that these observations are just opinions and not hard facts and figures so some of our members will be unimpressed, however this is a fact: For a reasonable amount of money my car is now stronger on the bottom end and has no physical alterations that a dealer can use as an excuse to deny warranty service, this makes me a happy camper, thank you Dennis Rienhart.

Another satisified customer......You just gotta love what Dennis is doing/does for us. My next upgrade will be the sway bar and brakes when I get the cash together. Kinda short right now,

I hear ya. If I was an inch shorter, I'd be a perfect circle.

Javier, I personally do appreciate this kind of report on such a modification. It's the kind of comments such as the one quoted above that have convinced me to take the plunge sometime in the fall, although I'll have to go the chip route, being so far away from Dennis' shop.

Anyone who's gone the "ship the PCM" route, how long was the turnaround time? I'm talking door to door...
This car simply cannot have any unplanned downtime, with the way things are going around here.

TripleTransAm: I thought there might be others like me that may feel more comfortable during the warranty period with a more subtle approach to modifications, after that is pretty much what your heart and your wallet dictates. Dennis in my opinion offers the broadest range of mods. from the subtle but effective chipless programming to a s/c package that will please most harcore hot rodders. I witnessed the programming and I can tell you that it takes less than 10 minutes so turnaround time should only be limited to shipping method, I do understand your concern about down time, mine is a daily driver also.
