Those that have a scan Guage II would you buy it again?

What information do you find useful?

Any problems or suggestions.

I have a real OP, Boost and FP guages.

How do you use the information, real time, trends, etc?

Thanks.

I have two of them and like them very much (car and truck)!!

They report SOME real time stuff with more to come as Ron & Company have time.....Ahem.....I STILL need Fuel Pressure parameters!!!

I currently monitor Water Temp.....Trans Temp.....RPM's.....IAT.....and it seems to do a good job!!

I had a Scan Gauge I and it was big and clunky looking but the II is small enough to mount in the dash.....Zack pioneered this and I followed his lead!!

At the price they sell for I'd say it is a real bargain!!:bows:

Now back to that FUEL PRESSURE reading guys???!!!;)

Sailsmen - I would not only buy it again, I would be selling them for a living if I had the time:). I have used the Scan2 version since it came out amost two years ago.

While most all the information is useful, I found monitoring MPG Inst, MPG Avg, HP, and Trans Temp were of most interest to me during daily driving.

Being an engineer, I enjoy the ability to conveniently see engine and tranny parameters on a real time basis. I would like to see more, but obviously that would take a PC and be more dangerous for driving. And besides, what other program have you recently seen that reads gross HP? It may exist, but I'm not aware of it yet.

I have already suggested going to a 3 or 4 line display, and even offered to design that portion of it for them, but for the time being, it's not even on their radar.

The only problems or suggestions I have are:

1. Fuel Pressure - mentioned above already. Seems Ford moved the code that monitors that item and the folks from ScanG still haven't caught up with it yet;

2. Would like to see MAP readable in In/Mercury, as opposed to just PSI. Just a throwback to us older folk brought up this way.

3. They made some changes for figuring MPG Avg, accounting for high speed coasting (when the injectors are essentially shut off) and other parameters, but I found their older method to be a bit more easy going, and, IMO, more accurate.

Other than that, I couldn't be more pleased with the product.
