I am trying to work with NMRA and get a "Special Heads-Up Drag Racing Event scheduled with them for Marauders & Big 4-door Fords to have our own class at this years March 6-9, NMRA Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton, Florida.

We may have to sponsor our own event and I am willing to take the reins here to make this happen. We would be looking at 20-30 Marauders (CV's included) with a minimum 12.99 et to qualify and compete. More than likely NMRA would require some financial support from us and sponsors (myself included) to make this happen. I would love to see us have a Heads-up Marauder Drag Class at this great national event.:banana2: We could have our own section, b-b-q picnic thingy while there.

I will keep everyone posted as things progress. All comments and assistance is welcome.

That would be a lot of fun.

The slower cars w/ a good launch and good RT can beat a faster car. An excellent R/T and launch vs average can make a .5 second difference.

When you get below 12.4 a good launch becomes critical with the weight and size tires we are currently running.

It would be interesting to see how our cars stack up againest each other and an enormous amount of info will be learned and exchanged!:)

Why don't we do it with Fun Ford Events at no additional cost.

Thats a great idea.

I would look at the number of cars they expect. We may not get any time depending on the turn out.

I have enjoyed the ones I have been too. They are centered around the Mustang for obvious reasons.

Great idea as well. You work on them and I'll work on NMRA. Maybe between the two we will be able to work it out.
