Well i just moved to california two weeks and long and behold i drive by a cop on a motorcycle that just cant keep his drewl in his flippin mouth. yes he pulls me over. why? u may ask, hmmm "your exhaust was too loud", um i have stock exhaust. oh yes i was threatened to get thrown in jail at that time and any other time for ANY infraction if they see me. theres hundereds of bentleys and lambos running through here and me with a marauder still gets more attention. this is why people hate cops, this is why people hate people, this is why people have disregard for the world...

Which Vortec kit do u have.
Police Officers are a direct refelection of the community. A holes in the community A holes on the police force.

I agree with JB. I made a thread a longggg time ago about cops "sucking" and I got nothing but flamed, so be prepared JB. I think it's ridiculous just because they are the "law" and think they can do whatever they want, when they want. I got pulled over too for having "loud exhaust" but yet he couldn't tell me what chapter it was in under the Laws etc. I then had said there are hundreds of cars in my town that have WAY louder exhaust, but yet I'm being harassed. Just pure BS. As from The Departed, "Do you want to be a cop, or appear to be a cop?"

The V-1 is loud the V-2 is their SQ series. It's on the plaque on top the S/C housing.
I think Dennis Reinhart used the V-2.

I find the anti-LEO rhetoric on the board here in the past few months to be a bit disturbing. :mad2:
I am sure that there are "bad apples" in every sector of society.... bad burger flippers, bad college students, bad doctors, bad computer weenies, etc, etc, etc. But to label everyone in law enforcement as "all cops suck" is pure :bs:
If you are frequently meeting lots of bad cops on the highway ... I'd look first at what you are doing to attract attention to yourself. Take responsibility for your actions. Be a man !! :P
I have been pulled over once in the MM in 4 years .... and I deserved it. :D

i was doing nothing, got pull over for stock exhuast, ive never gotten a ticket since i ve had this car, had it since brand new. so dont tell me i might be doing sumtin wrong, been pulled over many times but no tickets HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, lived in three different state at 3 diff sides of the country so i will say i hate cop and ok most cops are PIGs but all are dick heads to me cause i drive mediocre marauder.
My experience with LEO's has been all on the positive side. This year I was pulled over at nite twice, once because the Trooper wanted to see a Marauder up close. Second time the Trooper clocked me going five miles over the limit and just wanted to warn me that I was going a little too fast.
City and Sheriff LEO's have paid me no attention in the four years I've driven the car.
I have flowmasters and a light tint.
Would you consider making a visit to the Department in question and have a friendly "new citizen in town and what are the rules" chit chat with the Chief of Patrol?

No thats the other site where the same 8 people post over and over and whine about everything.
In NY, when quota time rolls around, you'll be surprised what you get pulled over for. My GF is a LEO and if she doesnt fill her quota at the end of the month, shes in risk of being transfered or having her tour modified. There is a lot of stress on cops to fill these quota's, However that doesnt give the cop a excuse to be a prick toward you. I would file a complaint and go through the proper channels before making the blanket statment. I have had my share of A-hole cops as well but I have met plenty to know that they are all different.

first off i complain because i dont get ticketed, i wouldnt be saying a thing if i got a ticket, i complain because i get pulled over repeadtly and not given a ticket and get harrased because i have a marauder, its wrong. call it age all you want. just dont read this thread if you dont like it.
This underlying point of this thread (my interpretation) is the hatred of those who have lost their lives, left children without parents and sacrifice their well being for the sake of the genneral public.

Bob, yea, you're right. All the people who complain about the LAW are usually ages of 20-35. Why? Because we are stereo-typed. We have nice, attractive cars that CAN draw attention, and they see someone young behind the wheel and BAM! You're being pulled over usually for something STUPID and if you were in a normal sedan it would be fine. I'm sick and tired whenever these threads come rolling around all the "senior" guys chime in and do nothing but *****ing rag on us. Don't you even tell me when you were in your 20's you weren't stupid. So, if you decide to be "against" us, fine. But say it politely and no eye rolling or things of that sort. Maybe give advice or tell us a story what happened to when you were this age and how you handled it. If you guys call us idiots for going on rants like this, you're just contributing to the fire instead of looking for a way to put it out.

i got pulled over on a motorcycle at work a few months back. test ride, 64 in a 55 or something... back road, anyway i thought it was BS. trooper probably ran 85+ to catch me cuz there was no traffic in sight when i made the turn onto that road. anyway total BS. handed over my license, etc. before going back to the car he says I'm writing you a ticket for 64 in a 55 or whatever. I say "ok" but think what a bunch of crap. He comes back a few mins later (obviously ran me) writes me a warning tells me basically he didnt write me a ticket because I didnt ***** about it when he told me I was getting one.

When I got pulled over, he had 2 CV's come and an Expedition. This happened right in the center of town. How embarassing eh? All these people drive by and it looks like I have tons of drugs in my car or it looks like I just robbed some place. And the b!tch of it is, I know like 3 guys on the force and last I checked, one of the guys said all the cops like my car. Go figure.

...
You hate Cops? Who is the first person you will call when you are in trouble?
Mike.
I disagree. I do not pay the salary of or have to deal with "bad burger flippers or even Doctors" but I am FORCED to deal pay for and deal with corrupt, crooked, and abusive cops. Can you not see the difference?
Too much discretion is the problem.
They have too much discretion when it comes to dealing with "non life or death" situations and they make the wrong decisions. Thus, many of us don't trust them or at the very least try to avoid them as much as possible.
Examples,
-We must KISS THEIR ASS when pulled over. Why should I call him "Sir" if he doesn't address me in such a respectful manner? Oh, so maybe if I kiss his ass enough he won't ticket me to his full power? F-That! Want respect, give it.
-How about some of my friends (2 HOTTTT girls) who get out of tickets 100% of the time. I kid you not. It's a huge thing around here. The cops are exchanging phone numbers with them and one even showed up at their house out of the blue. Humm, 18 MPH over the limit and no ticket because the cop is a LOSER and thinks he might have a chance to hook up? Yup, things like that really make you feel like they serve the LAW in a fair manner.
Note: How many of us have been pulled over for something stupid (like 1-5 MPH) and still got the ticket? Or getting pulled over because you ran your fog light during the day? What, they have nothing better or more important to do? Yet, if you are a great looking young girl you can get away with 18 MPH over the limit?
-Also, nobody wants to talk about it but if cops are there to provide "Law and Order" then why do many (if not most) openly admit that they will almost never ticket another cop? It was even discussed here and many of the LEO members openly admitted that they will never ticket another cop. So this is serving the Law in a fair manner? Cops can speed and break other traffic violations while off duty and get away with it just because they are cops? They break the law and don't get ticketed like the rest of us yet they want us to respect them. Well, let me tell you that the public is not stupid and doesn't respect people who abuse their power (of the badge.)
So cops openly admit that they never ticket another cop and many cops don't ticket good looking girls yet many members here have told stories of getting tickets for (traveling as little as 1 MPH over the limit, "sounding" like they drove too fast because the cop didn't even clock them, and now driving with their fog lights on during the day).
Let's face the facts. Cops do a lot of good in many situations but many, if not most, abuse the power of the badge in ways that cause the public to not like them or even trust them.
Having family and a close family friend in law enforcement made me realize that there are good cops but maybe the institution is set up in a way that they get away with all these small abuses which over time causes the public to lose their trust and respect for the WHOLE institution.

A little unbalanced? I NEVER state that everyone is a sh*^bag, even though I see them everyday. I am mature enough to not generalize everything, so that being said-maybe you will grow up and understand. Everyone has opinions and no-one is going to like everything they read and see on the 'internet'.
I am still somewhat of a rebel, but at least I still have respect for others until they have shown me there is a reason to remove it. No matter what I will NEVER put blanket terms on anything, I'm above that.
I am also NOT going to sit on here and say that I am one thing or another, I let my actions and such speak for themselves.
I usually don't post in such trivial threads (in other words-BS!) But as several here have stated, they are posting their opinions.
DEAL WITH IT!

Hey just remember something here no matter where you go you will find good eggs and bad eggs. I too have been a victim of authority and of the system a few years ago. Lately I have been.... ya know what you guys and girls don't need to know my political views, but I will say this don't hate the guy for being a cop, hate him for being an a hole. I was actually told to drive off after I got pulled over with a suspended licence a few years ago and I wasn't even aware of it being suspended... that's a nice long story maybe I'll tell someday. :mad2:

Cop pulls out behind my friend and flips on the lights. Pulls him over for speeding. He drives a Lightning. He was BEHIND 3 other cars going the EXACT same speed, but just happened to pull him over. I just re-read Shora's post and truly understand it and its true. We ARE not above the law and I should be treated just like anyone else that gets pulled over. maybe I am a minority?
You are indeed in the minority. If you search the threads here you will find many LEOs proudly admit with full glory that they will "never ticket another member of the badge". I am saddened to say that it is only one of the many abuses that occur daily.
Believe me, I wish that I had better things to say.
I wish that I felt differently or even didn't care because I too am in the minority speaking about and taking a stand on a side that is unpopular to say the least.

I dont think all cops suck but some of the ones in NJ can be abit ridiculous at times.
How about 2am, in my town, my brother did a "rolling stop" coming home down the road, a cop was parked up another street, and caught up to my brother 5ft from my house. he asked why he was out so late ( i forget that ) and where he lived. Of course, he just pointed right at our house , dont think the cop felt to athouritative after that, as he just left
What would we do without new jersey.
How about the NJ state trooper who pulled a town car over for being the first one to leave the light? Saw it happen while going down the shore.

You know , I sit hear and read this nonsense about " all cops are @$$holes " and I don,t even know you or met you but you think were ALL @$$holes ?
Guy take some friendly advise from someone who has over 20 years on the job- GROW UP!!! . You don,t like being pulled over , well welcome to the club . not long ago I posted how a state park police pulled me over for having loud exhaust when in fact I have stock mufflers ( where was he when I had the magnaflows for a year.) and this was when I was going 5MPH bellow the speed limit . I pulled over and gave the courtesty that is afforded to him ( and no that is not considered kissing his @$$ !!! ) . I let him go through his speech and then gave him my papers . now this was at about 3:00 am in the morning travelling through a mountain road . I guest I woke up some deers and wood chucks . I finally came clean and I.D. myself . the look of stupidity on his face was down right rewarding . he gave me my papers back and drove off . the point to this story is that 2-days ago I got pulled over driving my Taurus and another young 20 something year old state park police tells me that the reason why he pulled me over is because my tires touched the divided white line on this 2-lane highway . I was also polite and gave him my papers . when he was finished with his speech , I also I.D myself and again no apolgies for the stop , he got back in his cruzer and drove off . now as far as some folks feeling that I got away with a traffic infraction because I showed my I.D. - 1. GROW UP- cops will 98% of the time extend professional courtesty to another badge . nothing you say will change that so get use to it and it not going to change anytime so handle it . 2. if I didn't I.D. myself and did receive the ticket , then I would have gone to court on both incidents and have the smarts to surely beat the case . 3. pretty girls not getting tickets- hey some do and some don't that just the way it is . you forget that cops are men and women that put themselves in harms way everyday .they take police action when they put that uniform on or don that shield on there jacket . they pulled you over for something your not telling us or maybe they liked your car and wanted to check it out but they are not going to admit to you "sir the reason I (we) pulled you over is because we liked your clean ride" . hey you should be flattered that you walked away without a ticket not start a thread about " all cops are#$%&holes " . maybe your jelous that they have that kind of authority or that they command respect when in uniform from others , so be it .
If you still feel this way then you have the right to go to your nearest police precint , walk in , stand in front of the desk sgts desk and proclaim in a clear and loud voice " ALL COPS ARE @$$HOLES " and then count to to three because I know you won,t get to three before being brought down to the ground and handcuffed and taken to the hospital head shrink . hey I don,t think your an @$$hole because I never met you and maybe your a good guy that been stoped too many times but clearly you made an @$$hole comment so before you come back with your negative vibes at me , first " WALK 21 YEARS IN MY SHOES " before you or anyone agrees with what your spill out here because if you can,t appreciate what LEOs do , then next time your face to face with a carjacker pointing a gun to your head or someone has burglarized your home , don't call the police , call the fire department or the sanitation department or the water department then maybe then you'll feel safer .

you people keep comparing your stories of traffic infrations to mine, i didnt get pulled for ANY illegal violation, i got pulled over for having a marauder, thats why im mad. ive been pulled over in my other cars and cops told me theyd give me a warning and ive told them before to just give me the ticket. getting pulled over for sumtin i did isnt the issue. i got pulled over for having a marauder and got threatened to get thrown in jail if i was caught doing ANY infraction here on out. yell at me all you want just going to fuel anyones fire

Try living in a small town sometime!
I live in a town of 1,500 people. Add to that 3 LEO's with absolutely nothing to do.
Let the fun begin!
1. High school history teacher (a decorated WW2 Veteran) gets busted for DWI. He was mowing his lawn on a riding lawn mower when a cop drives by and sees him drinking a beer. The LEO stops his cruiser, walks across his lawn and tickets him. Cuffed and stuffed!
2. 50 year old town librarian gets pulled over and verbally warned for "not looking both ways" before leaving an intersection.
3. The local band plays at the bar. All three LEO's circle the bar NON STOP all night long. Every car that leaves the bar gets followed. Sometimes for miles. People are pulled over for tossing a cigarette butt out the window. Everyone in the car is given sobriety checks.
4. Ten year old boy is walking home from a baby sitting job. It's PM. LEO pulls over questions and frisks the boy. LEO claims to be looking for cigarettes. No action is taken against the LEO.
5. I have LEO follow me through town. I zig, he zigs. I zag, he zags. I'm the only car traveling through town. This continues, like some sort of weird parade for half an hour. I even circled the same block 6 times! Around and around, and around I went! He followed me the whole time!
Finally I pull over and stand next to the car. He drives by, turns around a few blocks later, and stops. I stand there looking at him for 20 minutes. He finally pulls out and drives past me. I follow him for several miles. Finally I pull into the gas station. I ask the clerk who's on duty and WTH is going on with him. She tells me that some one in a silver 4 door did a gas "drive off" a few days before.
Two days later the local Sheriff gets a nasty letter from my cold blooded, Godless attorneys. No problems since then.
I've got 50 other stories just like this. Heck, if I told you people how many times I've been pulled over here, no one would believe me. Just in the summer of 1993, I got pulled over 19 times in 100 days. Not one ticket was issued. I have no proof of it. I will however swear to it, with my hand on a stack of bibles, that it happened. May my Marauder burn to the ground tonight if I'm lying.
There are few things in life more frustrating than a really bored small town LEO. Everyone here has been through it. We've all been followed for no reason.
We all just want to ship these guys to Philadelphia so they're not quite so bored.
What goes around, comes around. The one LEO's kid got laid out real good in a High School football game this year. Too bad for the kid his Dad is such a bored, power tripping, jerk.
Look while I don't agree about calling all cops pigs and that they're unfair. I've seen my fair share of traffic cops who shouldn't even don a shield but most times cops can be pretty forgiving.
One time I'm in a rush to school and I run a light near my home to make a chain of greens ahead of me. I see a blacked out crown vic follow me through, I think damn either that guy's got balls as big as mine or its an undercover. I pull over and the shotgun in the front seat confirming the latter, I simply explain the situation and he lets me off with a slap on the wrist and don't do it again. The guy had me dead to rights and let me go, either he was a really nice one and saw that I was legit or was on his way to a big drug bust.
And on the flip of that I was driving to a friend's house and following these mapquest and drove down the street that I'd driven down hundreds of times before and had just been converted to a one way with minimal markings and no reflective paint. After getting half way through the block I realize there are no lights facing my way I notice the flashing lights behind me and then a loudspeaker telling me to u turn and wait. After a few minutes this Bit . . err female dog then comes back to me after waving pulling over three more people and then waving off the rest (guess she made her quota) comes back and hands me a ticket before I can even try to explain, now both my parent are in the car with me and try to explain too only they too get warnings about how they'll get some disorderly BS slapped on them. Fighting to keep both mine and my parent cool as she blatantly disrespected my mother. Eventually I fight it and get it over turned, fighting no to laugh in the B:censor:h's face in court. Hope she get suspended or kicked from the force or worst case scenario, non fatally shot. But thats just my bad cop story.
:agree:
Like 'Rauder said, I despise when old people rag on us young guys, up until now I've been driving vans but damn if I'm not gonna catch some flak with my new marauder.
Anyways my .02 there are good and bad cops, and old people suck for raging on the young for being reckless. And lets just quit :argue: already!
Gee, Jblue21 see what you started. These stories are priceless. Many of our members are literary heavyweights. The one about the beer drinking lawn mower driver, while usual, is prolly valid. Drinking on a moving powered contraption, the look on his face must have been incredulous.
O.k., enough unpleasantness. Shora, please post up some pics of your hot female friends!!!! :D

Just so you know, I am a LEO and I have been written twice. There are other officers, troopers etc. out there with no sense of discretion. At the very least he should have looked underneath to see if there were any modifications.
If you go to court, bring pictures of the system, have Ford certify that the exhaust is untouched and certify that fact in the documentation with part numbers etc. and then challenge the officer on his qualifications in finally ascertaining that you were "ridin dirty".
Also testify that at no time did he inspect the underside of the vehicle for changes to the system. Provide pics, docs and any other types of media to the court where a stock exhaust can be demonstrated including comparing the sound of yours to another Marauder, try for one at a dealer that is certified by FML for resale. (examples of media ie. dvd of car running on a portable dvd player).
There are just jerks out there who think they know everything and have no sense of right and wrong, they are in every business including law enforcement. If I am not sure of anything on a car stop, I dont issue the violation instead I warn and admonish.

I have had nothing but positive experiences every time i've been pulled over. Treat the officer w/ respect, they will do the same. I get the impression that most of the cops that have pulled me over have done so out of curiosity, they are interested in the car....and can you blame them?
Not all LEO are on a power trip, the vast majority of them are good guys, and they risk their lives every day. They take their lives into their own hands with every traffic stop, domestic dispute, drunk/disorderly, etc.
I have no comment on toll booth workers, i'll save that for another thread

Sure, it's easy for you to act all cool about being pulled over without reason or even ticketed for bull***** reasons when all you need to do is I.D. yourself!
Crooked!!!!!
The examples that you provided, should they have occurred to people without the crooked inside connections, would clearly cause people to lose faith and respect for LEOs. If you cannot see that you must have other issues that I.Ding yourself cannot solve.
Also, Cops are sworn to protect and enforce the laws (including traffic laws). Where in the oath does it say that LEOs are above the said laws?
A speeding LEO will, even according to your numbers, get away without a ticket 98% simply for I.Ding himself. I guess that a speeding or reckless driving LEO is either above the laws being sworn to uphold or are not a threat because hell, they walk in those special shoes that you keep talking about. Let me ask you, do those special shoes have an I.D. holder?
BTW, you are probably right that the crookedness in your industry is not going to change anytime soon but neither is the general publics negative views of those in your industry.
As you like to say; GROW UP AND DEAL WITH IT!

some cops are good some are bad, everyone want to say that oh he was just having a bad day...well personally i think thats kind of a lame excuse, if i have a bad day at work will I be excused for harassing a customer? probably not. remeber no matter how many good deads one does, it only takes one mistake or braindead move to overshadow all the good....for instance if i am a model citizen and one day i have a "bad day" and go slap some guy in the face for no reason will the officer just so oh its ok you had a bad day...no i will be labelled as a criminal and treated accordingly...it should be no diferent for those who wear badges
Jblue, i know how it feels
Charlie, we have met in person and you are a very nice person that I got along with well, so please dont take this wrong as there is no aggretion or rock throwing involved, just observations. But, you are generally the first to chime in saying we need to man up and look at ourselves, and it comes across as though you base that off the fact you have only been pulled over once...but honestly if an unwarranted ticket was written and takin to court who do you think would be easier to convince the judge that the person was guilty, you or me? Me of course because im younger and you are an older gentleman, just as offroadkarter stated. Its called stereotyping, or profiling, if people dont like it when the cops are stereotyped, then they shouldnt stereotype others...again not throwing stones just observing, i apologize ahead of time if any offense was taken to this.

i have had nothing but positive experiences with LEOs. i was pulled over going 55 in a 35 in my CVPI.... he let me off with a written warning because it was myfirst time ever being pulled over and he said " i know how these things carry speed". it was a speed trap ( 50zone- 35 zone - 50 zone all in 1.5 miles)
2 months later i was pulled over for going 50 i a 25 in my CVPI.... it sounds worse than it was. the road changes speed limits multiple times, but none the less i was flying to work. officer let me off with a "Adam, slow it down buddy." i knew him from the local liquor store i worked at.
1 month later i was pulled over for an out headlight. i hit a deer with the CVPI that night and only broke my headlight bulb and side marker lens. told me to just fix it.
since owning the MM i have been fine. i have illegal tint( 7 times the limit. 5% in a 35% state) and flowmasters. i have been pulled over once and the officer just wanted to see the MM up close pretty much. he couldnt see through my windows, but didnt say anything. most of them love the car and often wave at me. i dont know if they think i am a detectives car or what but i know most car guys in town think im a cop. lol
i also plan on becoming a LEO when i turn 21. always thought it was really the job i wanted to have.

I've had plenty of good and bad experiences with cops. I won't get into details about my "failure to dim lights" citation, but let's just leave it that the cop made some very, very unintelligent remarks that were so very hard not to make a smart-ass comment about. I was pulled over in my Lincoln for a loud exhaust some odd years ago. It took some time after I was pulled over for the LEO to finally tell me what he pulled me over for. When I asked at first (several times) he refused to tell me. When he finally told me, I told him hoe the exhaust was broken and had been fixed several times but still kept breaking. He also asked if I realized my exhaust was loud (duh). And these are only two realizes why any kind of flashing light in my mirror makes me panic. So many occasions of being pulled over when nothing wrong was done.
On the other hand, there have been some good things. Last summer I accidentally clipped another car with my MM (go ahead, shoot me now). I panicked and split. Cops later showed up at my house while I was cleaning the wound, and told me to go to the station in the town where it happened. The cops there were very nice and everything went fine, even though I was all stressed like crazy. So technically I was guilty of a hit and run, but they didn't nail me on it. Probably cuz my record is pretty decent and I was sufficiently and properly insured. Of course there was the time I was nailed for doing 80 in a 55 (middle of nowhere, after 10:30pm). My speedo was busted, so I didn't realize it. I got a ticket, but the cop was pleasant, and I didn't give him ****. He didn't seem to believe or care about the speedo.
Until I blew the motor in my Lincoln, I was getting pulled over every other week, and always for nothing (like touching the yellow line with my rear tire when entering a left turn lane, or accelerating too fast but not speeding). I think the plethora of stickers in my back window worked against me on that, but there were times at a light a LEO would be behind me, and I'd see them crane forward to read the stickers and sometimes laugh.
So I guess it's a pot luck when dealing with cops. Sometimes you get a d***head, sometimes a decent human being. But it goes the same for everything else in life... like customer service.
Still doesn't seem to change the fact that when I see those lights behind me I get pissed off and think, "Damn it! What now?" ;)

There is NO one more full of ***** than a cop. Two weekends ago my father, mom and me were in my Dad's truck going to get a Christmas tree. We go to pull into Home Depot to return some stuff before hand and a guy in a Silverado is ON my dad's bumper, I mean you couldn't even see his front end all you saw was his windshield. For what? My dad didn't do anything to him. He had to slam on his brakes because the entrance got backed up, this irritated the ********* Silverado guy and he swerved next to my dad, flipped us all off and yelled some profanities, he began to cut us off since he felt he deserved to be in front of us (WHY he wasn't going anywhere!) Well wouldn't you know that d!ckhead hits the front of my dad's truck. He got very pissed off, parked his Silverado, walks after us to presumably "teach" us a lesson. My dad phones the police, we drive to the station since we didn't want any part with this nutjob. We get to the station, we tell the Sergeant our story, and this guy, who's by himself tells him his. It came down to basically nothing, the ****in cop didn't even cite this madman! So, I guess you can go around slamming into people's vehicles and get away with it now a days. That ruined our weekend.

Here is another example. My friend went Xmas shopping with his sister over the weekend, on the way back, he was behind 3 cars, they all passed a cop doing radar. Cop pulls out behind my friend and flips on the lights. Pulls him over for speeding. He drives a Lightning. He was BEHIND 3 other cars going the EXACT same speed, but just happened to pull him over. That's BS if you ask me.

If I am carrying at the time, I will show my ID and inform the officer that I am armed. Sorry, if the boys here don't understand this but in NO WAY will I get pulled/asked out of the car in a felony stop because they spotted a firearm and didn't know why it was there. Less chances of any accident should someone not be able to handle the situation.
After practicing handcuffing techiques, I have found out that my shoulders don't like it when I get cuffed, unless training-I'll pass!

Hey, you almost sound like the stalker cop who just showed up at their house out of the blue or when he decides to invite himself to our table at the mall. If it were any other loser I would have told him to beat it (no pun intended) but I didn't want his loser a$$ to tell his buddies to bust my balls later. He might think that would impress the girls or somthing. I cannot wait until he crosses the line too far once and ends up behind bars.
Scared them big time.

leisurely scroll through this thread and then see why Police officers hate you back. Never underestimate the total stupidity of the general public.
i am the only one that finds it strange you are apparently defending the cops (your business , whatever) but at the same time have a avatar of Paulie from the Sopranos. A TV gangster?

Friend - may I call you friend , because as I posted in what you have quoted , first the response is due to the generalization AKA: " ALL " the run in's you have had in your short driving time means that you have temped fate on the road that has caught the attention of a LEO . this response was not made to be a personal attack , but to point out that not ALL LEO's are bad . its not about acting all cool nor was it ever said , but as I mentioned before that I have been pulled over before and did not like the reason for it , but I did not come on a MM board and start a thread insulting those that had nothing to do with his incident or any of your past incidents . You find that when an off duty LEO shows his I.D. when in a car stop being crooked ? . Guy - here the true reason why we do that - we want to make sure that the uniformed LEO is dealing with another LEO so the uniformed LEO is at easy in a car stop incident . car stop incident is one of the most dangerious things to do since he doesn,t know who you are but you know who he is . there is nothing crooked about it . you look out for your friends like your doing now right , standing by his statement and firing back the word crooked at the so-called industry as you put it . well we as a brotherhood of blue , we look out for each other . there are times when a LEO that crosses the line will be arrested and prosecuted to that ,there is nothing but sadness and disbelief , but don't sit there and believe that the word ALL LEO,s should be glorified in this thread . as many members have said there is good people and bad people in ALL WALKS OF LIFE and in every job . as to the oath you stated , we have taken it together as brothers in arm , no one knows the oath we take ,maybe thats something you will never understand and as for those special shoes you bring up , yes it has an I.D. holder by my shoes called Smith & Wesson for those that threaten my well being and the well being of others . when shots are fired you can run from the bullets , we choose to run toward them to possibly save the lives of those like yourself who require the help when in need .
Finally you like to use the word back to me " grow up and deal with it " , my friend I have been grown up for a long time now and I have been dealing with it for 26 years and am still alive to prove it . I have no dis-like for you or those that feel the way you feel towards LEO,s . its just sad that a board that I enjoy comming on usually turns into a " let me slam on a particular group of people today " that deticate there lives to protect the lives of others and then slams those that protect lives like yourself and others that feel the way you feel . and as to ISSUES , I have no issues with you or anyone on this board . a point was expressed that was somewhat bias and I countered it , now it seems that there are disgruntled members who don,t like LEO,s . fine I ,like most of my distant colleges will also DEAL WITH IT as well .

There is a old saying it only takes one bad cop to make them all look bad, that was a saying years and years ago, I know from my experience there are good ones, we have several on this site, and I know many Police Officers, ask Marauderman when we got pulled over on Blanding Blvd years ago blowing away a Honda turbo charged after diner at Out Back, they had me clocked and three of them pulled me and the other driver over, I did not get a ticket, so I can relate to this post, here is a young man who just moved to CA, has no family out there who is trying to meet new friends and go to school and this is what he has gotten, and I know what its like out there. I know of a man who had a Mark 8 heavily modified and was in the Navy out there, he got pulled over and they wore him out they jacked the car up inspected the whole car, and this Mark 8 was a 95 he had installed a 96 Cobra intake, in place of the old style Mark 8 intake that has the TB buried against the firewall, well any way they told him that had to come off, even if he passed a sniff test, they were going to seize the car if he did not return the whole car back to stock. He was on leave from the Navy waiting to leave the State and he did, They call CA a Nazi State for emissions, I am all for clean air, but this young guy just got the shaft, when they have it in for you out there, they flag your DL and and Tag, so you are just SOL, no one can afford to fight this system if you have one Police officer that does not like you or your car, so again its just a shame, but not all Police Officers are like this. They have tough jobs more people are killed today by aggressive driving and street drag racing than drunk driving that is why Florida started the RADAR program Rid Aggressive Driving And Road rage, this why there are the fleet of Marauders here, so in reverse it only takes a couple of idiots to make the rest of us look bad, I remember if you got pulled over for drinking they took you home, or called you a cab, those days are gone and so is street racing, but were all not like this, and again it is a shame he got targeted.

I like your post. It is very level handed. I have family in Law Enforcement and a neighbor who is very highly ranked who has been in Law Enforcement for longer than I have been alive and I described him as a role model to all. I have said it before (although not often) that I do know that not all cops are bad.
That being said I have seen too much in the real world to respect LEOs in the manner in which one day I hope to.

i think all dealership service writers are *********s:P
Yeah!!-You're right. You know who else is bad? Terrorists. I don't like terrorists.
So:
1) Terrorists.
2) Service writers.
3) Toll booth workers.
Cops don't bother or annoy me. I don't bother or annoy cops. It seems to be a workable situation for all parties involved.
Before we close this thread, I'd like to ask Shora for those hot girl pics again.

well JB there are many cops that suck and many that give bad names to the badge but as Bluerauder (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/member.php?u=1891) said the are good and bad of every thing so far i know a lot of LEOs and many of the are nice and just look at being a police officer a way to help the community, but then there are some who have been on a power trip since they got hired.i just got pulled over by a undercover silver impala from coral springs police in FL last week and got a ticket for 72 in a 50. As the police officer walked up to my car he asked about why i have l.e.d. red and white lights in my car. i explained to him that i`m currently a reserve firefighter for Broward sheriffs office. and he still gave me a ticket. :mad2: but i knew he was a traffic cop and was simply doing his job and brushed off my shoulders and taking it with a grain of salt. well i kinda went off topic. what im trying to say is im going in to law enforcement and if i ever pull over a marauder i`ll never give them a ticket.. and then ask them if they wanna race:beer:.lol jk but ill be nice and give only the *********s tickets who are obnoxious and rude. in other word for example just dont get mad at all the bag boys because one crushes ur loaf of bread. get mad at that one and notify there supervisor, and next time u get pulled over for loud exhaust and its stock ask the kind officer to call his SGT. because you would like to speak with him.

I did not agree with this thread from the beginning.
Posting has now evolved into personal attacks and name calling of others that is not acceptable behavior on this forum.
