Instrument O/D and Volt Meter Lights inop

Has anyone had the O/D light, or any other light on the instrument pannel, not work? How do I replace? Do I have to do extensive dash removal?

Also, My volt meter light is out. I had the oil pressure gauge light burn out about a year ago and Mercury Dealer changed the gauge saying the light can not be changed. Is this a fact?

These bulbs are easy to change.

Once you master the gauge pod removal process (no tools needed), it's a simple job to change the bulbs...no harder than changing a taillight bulb.

Never had to remove the dash cluster, so I'll leave that answer to someone who has. The FSM indicates it's fairly easy.
