Mine's the black one!!!!
My god, that's absolutely beautiful! It almost brings a tear to my eye. If I could quote the pic I would, as it is definitely worthy of the extra sever bandwidth, but I'm trying to break as few rules on the site as is.
Judging by the railway in the distance and the dozens of unlicensed marauders, I assume that this is St Thomas, Ont.?

I'm 2125 of 3213.

Does that mean in 2004 3213 Marauder were made and mine was # 2125?

From Brian:

Your MM's sequence number is 2070 of 3213.

Build date:3/15/04
Wty start date:6/1/04
vehicle has no recalls but has CA type emissions

I kinda thought all our cars were able to pass CA type emissions. The car was originally destined for initial registration in NJ, and I know back then they weren't requiring the "Northeast Emissions Standards" yet (really just CA in disguise). Interesting.

John,

Yeah - too cool! More interesting, they both came through with the same three available options (moonroof, cd changer, and heated seats). Only difference was color.

BTW, my car was originally destined for a dealer in Central North Jersey - Liberty Lincoln Mercury in Clifton. Be interesting to see if your car wound up near there too.

Not sure how the sequence stuff works - other than being the next MM after a bunch of other CV's or GM's. Likely they were built within a day or two of each other.

I have an important announcement. There is a discrepancy in the number if Blue and Silver Birch MMs produced. According to my information, there were 327 blue MMs made. Not 328. However, this is the opposite for Silver Birch as that 418 were made. Not 417. I will be PMing those whose color sequence numbers are affected by this change. The rest have their correct number but it is just of of 327. Not 328. Please make a note of this.

Charlie,

See follow-up reply from Brian. He also confirmed via PM that there were two more blues produced after mine. All the same having one of the last three blues to roll off the line is still pretty neat, IMO.

Anyway you cut it, with only 327 produced, we are definitely "the few, the proud."

09/02 build - where do you find the exact day at?

The only odd thing noticed so far is that GarageMahal has a build date of 5/27/02 and is seq 208. RKK has a build date of 5/24/02 and is 569. All other build day/dates posting follow a logical higher seq with later build.

2,437 of 7,839...

5,650 of 11,052 if I've followed everyone else's math right...

Anybody thinking of going back and updating this post (Mary?):

LINK (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=320056&postcount=219)

It's the one I've always fallen back on when I try to get production numbers straight (like on my showboard which I now have to redo and laminate :o)...

Best,
Jonathan

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!!!! If you wanted to be of the total MMs, then yours would be 2437 of 11052.

O.K.

So I am 2,040 of 3,213 produced for the 2004 Model year...

As such, I need to add in all the 2003 model year production (7,839) to both My sequence #, and the total produced for both years. The result is I am 9,879 of 11,052 produced. {If you have a 2003, you would NOT add in the 2004 model year production to Your sequence, 'cause it didn't happen yet}

Now, how do I find out what number DTR I am out of the DTR's produced????

Another Okay.....
If I have this right, I know now that my sequence number is 3,107 of 3,213 so if I add 7,839 + 3,107 I get 10,946 of 11,052? I dont know whats better having one of the first Marauder ever made or having one of the last....My car was 106 from the end!!! And one of only 1,414 Silver Birches built.

Personally, I think the last is better than the first.

So how many SB were made?

Where is that damn breakdown?

Got it...I know what I've been doing....pretty much comparing the math of a few '04 owners who've calc'd their position here and there within the thread..didn't see that until Dragcity and SID210SA's recent posts.

Sames goes with my position within the black's made in '03 (which is what I think you were trying to tell me Brian). Thanks!

Where is that damn breakdown?

Try the link I put in my post (4 or 5 back - should be #116)...it's the one I've always dug up.

Are we sure these numbers are correct. There where 418 or 417 silver Marauders, are those 2003 or 2003 & 2004 Silver Marauders? If 03 and 04 then the number of 03 cars totally would be one less, no?

You've got one of the last '03's built. Based on my wife's #'s over 1/3 of the last 800 or so were silver. Wonder how many of them were blue?
7040 of 7839
47 of 418 SB

I don't think too many. RoyLPita also tracked down my build sequence within the Blue production, and my car is #325 of 327, so I'm pretty excited about that too.

Adjusted Production per RoyLPita's post
'03 Blue MM 328 - 1 = 327

'03 Silver Birch MM 417 + 1 = 418
'04 Silver Birch MM 997 + 0 = 997
Total SB MM 1414 + 1= 1415

DTR MM (No Change)
Black MM (No Change)

I have an important announcement.
I found a minor error in my calculations of the 2003 sequence numbers. If your 2003 MM is made after VIN 634017, please subtract what I gave you by 1. The total 2003 MMs made is still 7839. The color sequence numbers do not apply here. Those who PM'd me have their correct numbers.

Please accept my apologies for this error.

OK, I corrected mine to 6587 instead of 6588 but I am still 67 of 327. ;)

Here are our two;

His: 2MEHM75V03X6***26 (Blue), 6670 of 7839
2/5/03 build date.
The color sequence number is 102 of 327.

Hers:2MEHM75V93X6***49 (Black 300A), 2171 of 7839.
6/26/02 build date.
We are pretty close, I'm 2162 of 7839, only 9 apart, and mine was first sold in Mentor, Oh.

The Blue MM's were the Bastard child of the Marauder family, you were only reproduced 327 times.
And all were a mistake.

there was a guy in California who had two Marauders, both black 03s, I think they were only a couple of VINs apart if that.He bought one to drive, and one to stash away. I wonder if he still has them, and if hes here?

Attention 2004 MM owners:
I have given out some of the DTR numbers already. You color sequence numbers are correct BUT, the exact is off by one. So, your color sequence number is xxx of 981 not 982.

Please forgive me for the error.

I now have the SB color sequence numbers. To those who PM me, your MM can be xxx of 987. These are more or less different from the figures originally stated.

BTW, the rest of the 3213 are black.
