Ebay item # 160188726196

I sent the dude a few words about Marauders, what years they were made, and the fact the the car he is showing is a Crown Vic.... I hate people trying to make easy money

He's charging for just giving out simple programming steps that you can get for free. I like where he states that "My system works regardless; even if the code was changed by a previous owner."

You can't "change" the factory code, only add your own.

Yup.... you are going to pay him to have him tell you to take the door panel off, and read the code on the modeule.

Actually - I don't care that he his model information mixed up -- it kills me that what he's selling is explained in the manual provided by the car!

(It's funny what you can do with a combination of the lock button and the ignition key -- The first thing I programmed was shutting off that damn annoying horn-chirp when you locked the doors with the fob!)

PS: My "Factory" door code is on a sticker in the glovebox AND on a sticker in the manual AND on a sticker in the trunk!

There was a guy at MV III who had converted a black '99 Crown Vic to a Marauder configuration including the 4.6L DOHC, wheels, front & rear fascia, grill, lights, and exhaust. Can't remember his screenname or what else he did to the car. The giveaway to me was the light beige interior when he was pulling in to the Burger King lot on Woodward. Then we started looking closer and noticed that the wheel offset didn't seem right ... and some other "tells".

I suspect that few people not VERY familiar with the Marauder could tell the difference. Even some of the MM experts at MV III had to look REAL close 'cause in a lot with 84 other MMs, it fit in rather well. :D

I pissed off a salesman once by checking out the trunk of a car, then unlocking the car while he was telling me they didn't know the code. he was a jerk, so I didn't tell him what it was...
