View Full Version : We have officially joined the MM ranks!
We did it. We bought an '03 300A MM w/ 12,300 miles on the odometer. It came with an intake spacer, CAI, and xcalibrator from Reinhart. The seller met me in Wichita, KS. My wife and I flew there, stayed a couple of days with my brother-in-law, and drove home to Pensacola.
The car is outstanding. It was a great trip. We are looking forward to many great miles.

Pretty soon Florida will have to change its state motto from "The Sunshine State" to "The Marauder State".

SATX,
Finally, another Pensacola Marauder owner in this club! There are a handful of Blacks, a couple of DTRs, at least one Silver, and Roy Jones, Jr's Blue (but I never see his) in this area but none of them ever come here that I know of. We'll have to meet up some time soon. :)

Thanks, I do have a question about the xcalibrator tune, but I'll start another thread on that.

Roy has a blue one? I'd like to see that. I've seen a couple of black ones lately, and my wife saw a dtr last week. What side of town are you on? We are around the corner from the post office on Tippin just off of Creighton.
Thanks everyone. You guys are more than kind. It rained most of the day, and I still did not get a chance to take more pictures. Maybe this weekend.

Jon,
I actually live North of town off of Ten Mile Road (West of Hwy. 29) in the Brookhollow subdivision. My son has spoken with Roy a couple of times about his Blue Maruader. My son was driving my Marauder and went to the What-A-Burger on Nine Mile Road and Roy was there driving his Supercharged Bently. Roy struck up a converstation about his Blue but apparently he hardly ever drives it. I believe my son said that he also had another Marauder but wrecked it. I don't know if it was repaired or not. (Possibly the Silver I used to see but haven't for quite a while.) A friend of mine that lives in Milton bought a DTR for his wife the week before I bought my Marauder. I also see a DTR coming down Hwy. 29 some mornings (while I'm heading North to my dad's place.) I believe they may work in the shopping center where Barnes & Noble is located on Davis Hwy. as I sometimes see a DTR in the parking lot there. I occasionally see a few Black Marauders including one in very poor condition. My son said he had seen it a few times at PJC. It's hard to believe someone would buy a Marauder and then not take good care of it but I guess anything is possible. Maybe we can meet up sometime in the new year. By the way if you didn't know, there is a static car cruise every Saturday night (except holidays, weather permitting) in the parking lot near the Burger King on Nine Mile Road at New Chemstrand Road. I work every other weekend but try to go there every chance I get. I usually walk my dogs around there.

Welcome aboard, you said "we" if that isn't the royal "we", you know your wife/husband will like driving it so much your going to have to buy your own.
The Marauder is the new family car (we have three boys, ages 8, 6, & 5). The "We" means me and my wife. She will be the lucky one driving it most of the time. I did get to drive it to work twice this week. The kids are on Christmas break. This car is amazing. I love driving it. My daily drivers alternate between a '94 Miata and a '70 Fairlane 500 wagon. I love them both, but I need a MM of my own. Maybe someday I'll find an inexpensive high mileage one and convert it to a 5 speed manual. Now that would be fun.
lwblumjr,
Yes, we go to the shows at the Burger King once in a while. Look for our Big Red wagon with cream smoothies and baby moon caps or my friends blue '67 Ambassador 2dr hardtop. We'll have to plan a meeting there some time soon.
