Hello,
I have a problem thats troubling me that I hope someone could help me out with. I had a little accident as I was cruising down the street I turned my head for a second and went across a nice sized speed bump pretty hard going about 20mph or so. I got out to check the damage and the only damage I notice was a dent in the passenger side exhaust tip that can only be seen while looking under the car. I'm going to chip in on the GB on the 4" tips Wes has to replace them. After a good bath and shower for the MM, I noticed that there is good bit of smoke being spit out by the pipes now. Also her growl now sounds a little different too.I was wondering did I harm my girl any more other that the dent? I will try and get pics up tomorrow of the tips and the smoke. Any help would be appreciated.

not sure why it would be smoking but if you hit the exhaust hard enough to dent the tip you could have broken a weld or flange or something and cracked the exhaust. could be why it sounds different.

Please dont think 2ice about the GB, you'd be #20

I vote on a crack in the exhaust. One thing to think about, does it still exhale more smoke even after you washed the car?

I'd be checking the oil pan as well to make sure you didn't damage it when you bottommed out. Exhaust + oil = smoke.

Better yet, just check the entire underside of the car :D

Denting the exhaust tip is a helluva bump!

Sounds more like a curb than a speed bump.

I would check the entire undercarriage as well as rims and alignment.

Mike.

Sounds like those Monster Speed Bumps they have in England.

The call them Sleeping Policeman.

Hence it isn't too bad when you hit a sleeping policeman.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will take everyone's advice into consideration, and I'll try and snap a few pics of the undercarriage later today.

You may want to check the air bags unless you were going 147mph this could not have happned.
