OK, OK....I know blowers are the fastest/easiest route.

Here is a list of my mods as is, and ones to be installed relatively soon.

Current:

FMS 4.10's
JLT CAI
Kook's mid length headers/full exhaust/magnaflows
XCAL tune

To be installed:

3k stall
intake spacer
UD pullies
Mez water pump

So, is this gonna do it? I have plenty of 1/4 miles drag times under my belt at the track with my Firebird, so i got launching down pretty good.
Thanks guys, getting the car ready for the spring. :)

Theres nothing wrong with NA cars. I had a lot of fun running Na. Your mod list is close to what I did to mine except for the water pump. It should run pretty good.

I got to 14.2 (same mods)without the maziere, converter or exhaust.

Have you already bought the above^^^ items?

IMO, save your money on the spacer, pullies, and water pump. That stuff isn't neceaasary to run in the 13's. I don't have any of those items, and I'm in the mid 13's.

Above all, get the 3000 or 3500 stall, a great custom dyno tune, and you'll be a 13 second car, every time.

Will you add a blower later? If so which one? It may influence which stall you might wat to chose.

Hope this helps.

I'd say you're on the right track. Who's tune? A generic xcal tune won't help as much as a dyno tune for your individual car (by a good tuner). The intake spacer didn't help my car, but all the rest on your list were very beneficial.

14.25 with JLT, DR tune,GMCOP connectors, 2nd set of cats removed, flowmasters and 255/55-18 kdw2 tires.

After installing the 3.5k converter, controls arms, intake spacer, plugs, t-stat and a few other little things I ended up going backwards and running 14.40-14.80 ranges. Tune and converter weren't seeing eye to eye, really slow off the line but a rocket 1/8 th mile to finish. Got the tune/converter problem fixed and just waiting until spring to run and see how I do before 4.10s go in and drag radials go on.

You should be there. I am with 3.55 gears (well 14.02), no converter, no water pump. This summer (or late spring) we'll head up to NED and maybe work on your technique, say maybe $2 a race or so?

Yeah, i'm on the fence about the intake spacer. In regards to the tune, it is a Ford Specialty shop called J and M Motorsports. I couldnt believe the difference it made when they got their hands on the Xcal. Completely different car. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if I'm in the low to flat 14's right now as is. Elevation? 603' in Lebanon Valley New York at the dragway.
I think the TC, control arms, pump and a dyno tune shoud do it no problem.

Get off the fence. Spacer is good for mid range power. Probably a tenth in the 1/4 if my records are correct. I can also go to Lebanon for technique training, may cost you $3 a loss, oops, I mean run.

I will definitely be getting in touch with you this spring. And of course, thank you. :burnout:

If you already have the open exhaust then you will benefit more from the intake spacer. You'll be able to take more air in and use it better. Pretty cheap mod that can add addition power numbers to other parts.

If all you want is a quick way to the 13's, this above ^^^^^ is all you will need.

When I first started modding my MM, I looked into the spacer, water pump, and UD's. Yeah, they're innexpensive, but I saw that I ended up running faster than people with those mods...so I just figured I didn't need them.

I saved my money for things that actually make your car fast.

My best is a 13.59 with most of the mods you have listed. Almost got in the 12's with sparying a 100 shot in 1st gear only. 13.2 I will go deep into the 12's next year when I can spray the hole 1320.

I plan to run a 100 shot pretty soon.
