Has anyone done a Marauder front end conversion on a 98-02 body Merc/Crown?

Was the victim of a bumper tag incident, other persons insurance footing the bill, was wondering what all had to be replaced to put a Marauder front end on my 98 Grand Marquis. I figure the grille is shaped different, didn't know if headlights, corner lights header panel and/or more had to be replaced. Or if it can even be done as a bolt-on change over. Any info will be appreciated, Thanks in advance, Andy

The fenders, all front lighting, header panel and grill, and of course the front bumper cover are all different. Good news though, the hood should be the same.

Personally I wouldn't change my front end to a Marauder front end, it's not a Marauder. My GM is a '98 also. I would love to have the front bumper cover inorder to get fog lamps, but it won't fit without replacing fenders.

Yeah, I have to replace the front bumper, wanted to put the better looking Marauder cover on. But if all of that has to be replaced, then I may just put the Crown bumper on, I hate the faux push bumper look of my Marquis. So, we'll see. It already runs like a Marauder, might as well look the look since I can't afford the real thing.

I know 92-04 Fenders are the same with the exception of the antenna hole.....

So youll need the header panel, front and rear wiring harnesses, Front bumper cover, grille, headlights, side markers, fogs, reinforcement, rear bumper cover, reinforcement, tinted rear lights, finish panel, mercury logo, and roll the rear fender lips to fit the 245/55R18s.

Not 100% positive, but early on somebody posted that they tried to do a front end conversion on a '98 and said the corner/marker lights wouldn't fit the fenders. Apparently the earlier lights were smaller?

98 Grand Marquiseseseses have smaller lights because the bumper covers are taller, but the fender is still the same, giving the illusion of different sized fenders.

now look at the '03 and up below, notice how much taller the side marker lamps are, and the rearmost part of the lamp is curved on '98-'02 and straight on the '03 and up. The area on the front of the fender on the newer cars at the marker lamp is vertical on the newer cars, and totaly different on the older cars.
