Thanks to Brian, I was noticing that our 300A with sequence number 642395 is number 5343 of 7839. That seems rather late. That made me wonder when the 300B's started.

The illustrious RoyLPita speculates that the B's started around 655000. Who has the last 300A and the first 300B of '03? I'm curious. Thanks for your time.

Jon

I have # 5665 it's a 300aIs this a Canadian car or a US car? Can't go by Canadian cars....Canadian 300A = US 300B. Canadian cars weren't made until the US # changed to 300B.

The change from 300A to 300B took place in early Nov. 2002.

But we do have traction control in our 300A's though...which makes it different from the US 300B's.

Actually we don't in our 300As, my driveway can attest to that during the last snow a few weeks ago.
Only 300Bs and after have the T/C

Indeed - my Canadian '03 is very clearly a 300A, however has traction control, and the dinky spare that goes along with it...

Wow, thats the best of both worlds, my only regret is that my 03 has no T/C (heh, that rhymes). Looks like I should have looked across the border for my MM

You can add t/c but its not like you really need it. Seems like it dont do that much really

Nope. US 2003 300Bs all have traction control. CA 2003 300As ran side by side with the US 300Bs. They did not make any Canadian cars when they were making the US 2003 300As.

Again: Canadian 300A = US 300B in 2003

Wow. The US 300A's must have been built early in 2002. I have a build date of Oct 2002.

Woah woah woah, I can get T/C?!?!? Where? Who? How? In the NY weather, I just might need it.

Then again, it would give me a reason to bring th car out in Bad weather so maybe not but it might be good later on.

Check with Roy (Brian) and find out where you are in the sequence. Mine is #428, so you must really be low.

From what I've read, adding T/C is a PITA and not really worth it. T/C's just seems to "bog" your motor and partially apply the brakes.
