Hockey Tournament in Midland

I will be joining John Kuhn and Linda on the 12th and 13th January as The Holland Storm invade Midland for a womans hockey tournament.I did this last year and it was a lot of fun.Lowell joined us and we watched some really good hockey.If anyone want to join us speak up.

We play hockey and drink at these tournaments. They are a good time and the teams are very competive.

Anybody see the historic game in the rain, sleet and snow yesterday in Buffalo between the Buffalo Sabers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins won it on the shootout after 5 minutes of OT on a goal by Sidney Crosby. Some think that Crosby with be "The Next One" after "The Great One".

The more the better 0091. The first game is Fri night at 10.30. Sat. games are 2.30 and 10.30. It would be great to have you there and we will show you a good time.
Charlie Linda plays center and manages the team, she also runs the league. I coach the defense and cause trouble!

The Holland Storm won the game tonight when defenseman Katy Glowacki scored the winning goal with four and a half minutes left in the game. They beat the Grand Rapids Blizzard with a score of 2 to 1. It was a close game and both teams played well. Our next game is at 2:30 on Sat. when we take on the Angry Beavers who also won tonight. The Beavers are a tough team so we are going to have to play well. With Hack Goby and 0091 in the stands to cheer us on tommorow. Hack should be able to post some pictures for us. If we are lucky we might get a shot of him in action also!

The Storm needs to win tonights game to make the playoffs for tommorow. We lost todays game 2 to 0 in a hard fought game . We had a lot of good shots on goal but they would not go in. Hack Goby took a lot of pictures during the game. Game time is 10.30 tonight.

Well Lindas team managed to pull off the upset win over the Mount Pleasent Chill. In the Chills first four games they out scored the other teams by 31 to 3 in goals. The Storm played a great game and pulled off a 1 to 0 shutout win to win the tournament. Hot goaltending by Dana Thome and a team that stepped up to impossible odds that made the Chills spines shiver when it was over. Paul was great to have around and has been adapted as the Official team Photo dude. He will have a load of great shots of the team in action. We should of had someone take a few of him in action on Sat. night as he spent the whole game on the top of a ladder. This was not an easy feat due to the pregame cocktail hour! He sure took one for the troops at this game.
The next tournament is the first weekend of Febuary in Windsor Canada. I will start a new thread on that soon. Way to go Linda and the Holland Storm!

My plans were to just watch a few games and take some pictures.I took over 300 pics but I left before the semi finals now I wish I would have stayed.I will have a slide show up sometime today.

We had 12 to 15 shots on goal anf they had 30 to 35! The difference is one of ours went In!
