Rebates on MM are supposed to end Sept 2.
Try another dealer.
It may true that rebate ends but I bet a new one will start. They want you to buy the car today. If you go back tomorow they'll try to sell you again.

about the MM, I was about to buy a Black Crown Vic w/the performance package(I found out about the MM, in the nick of time right before I signed the papers for the Crown Vic). And the salesman pulled that same garbage on me concerning the Crown Vic...."Well ya know Bill, if you want the rebate then you'll have to take delivery by tomorrow, because that's when the rebate expires for these cars"...... he only was telling me part of the truth as I later found out by going home and calling up three other dealers. Sure, the rebate was about to end, but on the following day it was to be renewed again. They can never assure you that the rebate will be the same when it's renewed, but it can go up or down, or stay the same. Now you can be assured w/a rebate like 4k it isn't going up. But it will probably stay the same unless the car in question is selling like hot cakes, and let's face it, the Marauders, Crown Vics, and Grand Marquis aren't cars that any dealer sells a lot of as compared to all the WRONG WHEEL drive cars they sell. So in the case of any V8 motored rear wheel drive car in question, the rebate isn't likely to be reduced, and certainly isn't gonna go away completely or even be reduced drasticaly due to lack of sales. Let's face it guys, most people don't have the high standards and taste that all of us here on this board have when it comes to cars;) And that is BTW, the reason why you can expect many car salesmen to resort to desperate tactics when it comes to a potential customer who shows any interest in one of these cars. It's because they're having a tough time moving them.
