Food and Cruise in April

Well, I thought I would post this up now to see if any of you are interested. There is a thread over on the SVT website for an Iowa Lunch and Cruise day at the end of April.

When: Saturday, April 26th
Where: Start at Buffalo Wild Wings in Wes Des Moines
What: Eat lunch and then cruise to Saylorville, hang out, take pictures, etc from there

So far it is looking like a go. We are planning to eat at a place called Buffalo Wild Wings in West Des Moines by the Jordan Creek Town Centre. They have a patio on the side of the place and should be plenty of parking. It will be mostly Mustangs, so far my Marauder, and then any other vehicles that decide to come.

Then we will cruise from there to Saylorville Lake and pick one of the shelter areas to hang out at and get some pictures of the cars and just BS.

Planning for Saturday, April 28th.

Would like to go but My Marauder is gone. SAD. I miss it. otherwise I would love to go. Maybe if my wagon is on the road by then I could drive it up there. Thats a big maybe. LOL

Not a problem. Those guys have welcomed me with the MM so I think you are fine. And there a number of non-SVT Mustang owners that will be there, too.

OK, so it is getting closer. Down to just over 2 weeks away. They are now talking about meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings between noon and 2:00pm to spread out eating time for those planning on eating there.

How many people are coming? I am going to try. So far it's just Eric? A guy I work with just got a Cobra, I asked him to come, but he cant make it. My friend with a mystic hasnt answered yet. I'll try to find out this week.

i think im going. with the wife and maybe the kid.
i might have a guy with an 07 mustang GT going, and maybe my buddy with his purple 69 chevelle just to get it out and cruise it, and the photo op area.
if he gets his exhaust done, probably woulnt though

Well, I got a couple of new scratches from this year already buffed out last night. Need to do a nice detail on the engine bay and she will be good to go.

I do not know how many from the Marauder or CV/GM sites will be coming. The current car count from the SVTP thread puts it around 20 cars or so all of various makes and models.

"Premium" parking close to the retaurant will be mostly for the SVT cars and Marauders. And then overflow from there. People are actually going to start showing up at noon now to spread out orders to the kitchen, but I can't be there until 1:00-1:30pm as I have to drop my daughter off in Ames and then get back down here to get the car picked up and get over there.

We had a good time and it was a decent turnout considering the cool weather and winds. No rain. Would have been about a perfect day if not for the winds. 6 or 7 Mustangs, 3 Marauders, 1 Gen 2 Lightning, a Neon SRT-4, and Lincoln LS.

Same here! Hopefully we will get some decent weather soon to hit CFR or do some cruise nights. Make sure to post up any car shows or events you are planning on doing.
