My repro sticker is buried at home in the office. I do feel lucky that the new black we jsut got had owner's manual, and someone had written the door code on the card thingie. Only came with one key and no fobs though. Got fobs off ebay pretty cheap and found a local locksmith that can do the electronic key for 65 bucks. Gotta have a second key!

Anyone arranged to get a repo sticker lately? I'm waiting to hear back from my local DOM to find out, but if anyone has any suggestions....
As for the huge group photo, I was fortunate to be at the plant when Ford Canada brought the dealers in for a plant tour and Marauder launch back in October '02. We had just over 100 out front, each car labeled and assigned. The regional OPP (Ontario Provincial Police - like a U.S. Trooper, basically), was called in and gave us an escort up to the local highway, and we had the road blocked so we could all get on at one time. Nothing like seeing a huge line of black MM's all in a row. We went along to the first exit (about 4 miles), then they blocked off the exit for the turnaround run back to the plant. It was then that I knew at some point I'd get one for myself. Almost bought that car from my customer when his lease came due with 60,000km (he went Charger SRT8), but I did drive it for 6 months before it got sold (had it as a demo) and I have a nice low mileage, one-owner unit that I'll hang on to for many years.
And no, no MM's were harmed during this drive event, and they were all Canadian market units. There were too many OPP units around keeping an eye on things to prevent anyone from doing burnouts etc.

Shipped via Rail, and sold to: Snellville Lincoln Mercury, Snellville Ga. and made it back to it's original roots in Ontario, Canada.
Indeed, that is odd maybe the repro isn't 100% retro-accurate (heh I just made up a word).
And hey, mine was originally sent to a dealer in Pennsylania at Moosic, Penn. 18507, maybe that has something to do with it?

but does anyone know what exactly it means? Were there whole groups of MMs herded across the Canadian border like cattle or what? Though I suspect now that the number box might be a code for regional locations to make it easy to call up.

Your picture is cut off.
When I worked at Lorain Assembly, I got to drive outside a few times. There were the two different lots, Rail or Convoy. There used to be three, with 2 different Rail yards, before the two train systems merged. But then each lot had rows to park the vehicle in, depending on where the destination was. We had to check the sticker for that info, then look at the sheet that we were given as to what row used that code that we were to park the vehicle in that night. Had to have some order to the lot, so they knew where to find the vehicles for the specific rail car or truck that they were loading. Each different code was a different location/load. Easier to look up than which truck gets the MM for Liberty LM or whatever. I'm sure UPS or Fed-Ex for example uses the same sort of routing for their distribution center, although thier's is done with bar code for automation.

Wow thanks, this is exactly what I wanted to know. And judging by your response one would assume that convoy shipped MMs went by car rack, about 8 or so at a time, pulled by a truck?

Come on and join our convoy

We gonna roll this truckin' convoy

> By the time we got into tulsa town,
We had eighty-five trucks in all.
But they's a roadblock up on the cloverleaf,
And them bears was wall-to-wall.
Yeah, them smokies is thick as bugs on a bumper;
They even had a bear in the air!
I says, "callin' all trucks, this here's the duck.
"we about to go a-huntin' bear."
[chorus]
'cause we got a great big convoy
Rockin' through the night.
Yeah, we got a great big convoy,

Well, we rolled up interstate 44
Like a rocket sled on rails.
We tore up all of our swindle sheets,
And left 'em settin' on the scales.
By the time we hit that chi-town,
Them bears was a-gettin' smart:
They'd brought up some reinforcements
From the illinoise national guard.
There's armored cars, and tanks, and jeeps,
And rigs of ev'ry size.
[these lyrics are found on http://www.songlyrics.com] (http://www.songlyrics.com]/)
Yeah, them chicken coops was full'a bears
And choppers filled the skies.
Well, we shot the line and we went for broke
With a thousand screamin' trucks
An' eleven long-haired friends a' jesus
In a chartreuse micra-bus.
[on the cb]
Ah, rubber duck to sodbuster, come over. yeah, 10-4, sodbuster? lissen, you wanna put that micra-bus right behind that suicide jockey? yeah, he's haulin' dynamite, and he needs all the help he c
T.
Well, we laid a strip for the jersey shore
And prepared to cross the line
I could see the bridge was lined with bears
But i didn't have a dog-goned dime.
I says, "pig pen, this here's the rubber duck.
"we just ain't a-gonna pay no toll."
So we crashed the gate doing ninety-eight
I says "let them truckers roll, 10-4."
[chorus]
'cause we got a mighty convoy
Rockin' through the night.
Yeah, we got a mighty convoy,
Ain't she a beautiful sight?

Mine was originally sold in Mentor, Oh., it says convoy CF1D. MY thinking is that it is cheaper to deliver autos to the area within a certain distance of the final assembly plant, by tractor trailer, and that is know as the "convoy" & the # is the trucks assigned #. The rest went by rail.

And I plan on continuing the chain of building on what was given to me by giving the next guy (hopefully in the family if I ever have to let it go) all that was passed on to me model, sticker, card, etc. along with the organizer that I bought, my collection of marauder memorabilia like the poster, brochures, newspaper clippings, even the rare and hardly spoke of dealer marketing tools like the VHS marketing tape for the MM, their screen saver dvd, training maunal with paint and upholstery samples, and their dealer newsletter detailing the new marauder. Though I'll probably keep some of the owner swag they sold like the key chain(have), mug, jacket, hat, and the ever elusive zippo.

Its a black backrounded Screensaver that has a darkened photo of that picture of the poster with the guys with older mercury looking at the new merc do a burnout. and has something like a return to the golden age in the new 2003 Mercury Marauder and has 3 animated boxed near the top that show a couple screens including the burnout at warehouse and a montage of action shot of the MM with the name Marauder spelled out in between in big red letters.
And its a mini 3inch disc, I just took some pictures of it and I'll post 'em when I can get to my card scanner as I'm beat from driving home form a family reunion down south.
