I want it. I want to make friends with somebody at ford, and arrange to make the last order for the last panther platform car built.
I figure I have about two years to figure out how to pull it off...
there was an article about the guy who owns the very last Buick Grand National ever built, his kid got to lower push the button that lowered the engine in, and the whole family followed the car through production.
very very cool.
...I want this...

You know what would be even better than that? If ford continued production..

That would be cool.
I lost all my Ford connections at Wixom and the St. Thomas plant years ago. But! I'm doing Ford work again! I'm doing a job for Tower Chicago (Taurus) now so If I see any guys from those plants at any meetings that I recongnize (or remember me) I'll mention it to them.

...the last one might be a taxi, Police Interceptor, Grand Marquis, or a Town Car,... or....a custom stainless steel Presidential Limo, for the future US President (if I get written in on the ballots).
I will have it retired to the Henry Ford Museum before Congress impeaches me, a mere one year into my term.

Me and several other members here saw the last MM built. Silver w/ charcoal interior (I think). Wish I had written down the VIN to follow its tracks.

I would gladly give up the last one, if ford would wisely continue what is essentially a new platform for 03. and just update the body to make the whiners happier.
