:shake:I had my MM up on my lift and I saw "Police" written on the drive shaft near three colored rings made by a magic marker. On my son's MM the rings are there(same colors) but no "Police" ???

Well, if you are not the original owner, someone may have installed a shaft from a cop car, like I did, to reduce the vibration after I installed 4:10s... or you got lucky and got a good shaft from new.

BTW, my "police" was not written with a magic marker.

You are indeed fortunate!

You have a no longer produced MMC POLICE aluminum driveshaft.
It was balanced for speeds upwards of >140 mph.

This is actually good, as the stock one you no longer own was good for "hit or miss' vibrations above 108 mph.

I have the MMC POLICE as well.;)

HOWEVER!!!

:burnout:Many thanks for the info on my drive shaft. My son has first dibs on it and wants it in the Will !
I am the second owner and the first owner was a 75 year old Ohio man who had only put 6,450 miles on the car. It sat in a warehouse most of the time and he did not do any modifications. I still talk with him so he'll be as surprised as I am that they put this on the car.
I have had the car up on my lift now at least 6 times and only this last time was the drive shaft turned so that "police" was visable!:)
