First, just want to say I am a new member from the midwest, but not currently a Marauder owner. I have been into cars and motorcycles for a long time, but sold my last project car almost a year ago. And I am now married with 1 kid. Trying to find something to do for more family time and have been looking at boats, but keep coming back to the Marauder.

I, too, like good looking, 4 door, RWD, V8 cars and was sad to see the '94-'96 Impala SS go away. Then came the Marauder and it looks MUCH better than the SS.

Anyway, reading through all these posts and trying to figure out the 300A and 300B designations. Can someone tell me what differences, if any, there are between the 2. Also, what changes are being proposed for the 2004 model year as apposed to the 2003 model year?

Anything to look out for if I look at used 2003 models to buy?

I,m sorry that I can not tell you exactly what is in the 300A,s but I can tell you that from reading many of the posts here of what many of the 300A owners have , This is pretty much of whats missing on the 300B,s--

(1) remote fuel door release (2) seat pockets below your knees (3) full size front spare w/ aluminum wheel (4) stand alone clock in dash (5) separate metal rear speakers grills (6) tint at top of windshield 7) automatic parking brake release
8) underhood light . This is the summary of what I do not have but I do not regret not having these items installed in my 300B . I am happy to say that I drive one and very pleased with the results of my "Silverstreak"

I was born and raised in Des Moines/Urbandale area and now live in Ames - not far at all from Marshalltown.

As am I, Class of '95, M.I.S. major doing absolutely nothing with computers now.

Anyway, about the MM. If I want the TC and heated seats (which I think I would like living in Iowa), then I would be looking at a 300B, which means I give up the remote door fuel release, map pockets, seperate clock, and full size spare (not to concerned with the other items).

On the other hand, if I was planning on driving the truck only in the winter and not the MM, then I could just look for a 300A and not worry about the TC and heated seats and get those other small options. And either way, I can add the CD changer if I want it (or if I get a used one, it might have it). And it sounds like there are still some left over '03s on dealer lots.

The car would be a daily driver, road trip vehicle that would get performance enhancements: suspension mods, exhaust, intake, chip, maybe a KB "S" setup at some point (or piece that together over time).

Just a matter of deciding how much I really want the TC and heated seats, I guess.

What about rumored or known changes for the '04 model year?

Eric Welcome to the MM site. A or B its up to you although you may get a good deal if a dealer in your area has some A's on hand. I myself waited for a B because of the heated seats and traction control. I also use a pick-up in the winter. Good luck.
