I'm making a run to Philly for my Uncle's funeral and get stuck in traffic and forced into one lane that has to stop with me at the lead waiting for the dump truck to clear the way. I look in the rear view and there is a MM a few cars behind me. The way clears and I pull out slowly and jump into the left lane with three lanes clear in front of me, the black Marauder blasts by me with a couple brothers laughing as they went by.
The Passport goes off and the cop is close. I was just putting along but the "chesesteaks" went by the cop wide open with no hassles, I get up to the cop and see his head is tilted back and his mouth is open snoring away so.... I crank it up and go chase them down, they were long gone.
I get to a straight stretch and see them way ahead, I'm doing 125 and start to reel them in, they must be stock and are wide open at 120. I hang back 1/4 mile at 120 and just follow them, I figure they know the road and I don't, not my neck of the woods, yada,yada,yada. They slow down till they are just in front of me and floor it and are off again, gone, I'm doing about 100, on a wide open road.
You know how the story ends, I passed them effortlessly, north of 140 pulling 4500rpm. Bad Shamu, eating your own is no fun, I slowed down and they pulled up hanging out the window screaming at me to tell them about the car, I said "MercuryMarauder. net" so I hope we get some new rookies out of the flogging.Tom
