The good news is that I was finally able to score a GT500. The sad news is that I have to sell my 'Rauder to pay for it. :(:(

I waited 2 years to find exactly the Marauder I wanted, but I've waited 38 years to buy a Shelby.

More details on the sale are in the For Sale section. I hope someone here buys it and gives it a good home.

Triple black ragtop at MSRP. That's why I couldn't pass it up.

Nice car, not a fan of 'verts though. You should keep the MM though and sell your GT, I don't know why you would want to drive that after driving a Shelby.

why not get rid of the Charger?

JonW

The Charger is the only car I have that the SO is comfortable in for any length of time (bad back). She can tolerate the Mustang seats for short trips, but doesn't like the Marauder seats at all. I guess I'll have to keep the Charger forever.

you could put the passenger seat from the Charger in the Marauder and then have a spare drivers seat.

Unless the Sig other is the driver, then I guess I could see it.

Yank the ring out of your nose and put it back on your finger where it belongs!

Solly, Cholly. No ring. We're not married. And the decision to sell the Marauder is mine and mine alone. She doesn't even know it's for sale.

And, if it puts her in pain enough that we have to go to the chiropractor when we get there, why would I want to do that to her? Then she'll quit going with me, and that won't be any fun.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

It's a figure of speech. You did refer to the "SO". No bubble to burst.

I just find it interesting the reasons people come up with. Buying and selling a car for most is still emotion based.

I have a back problem and riding in a Shelby puts a lot more road back into the seat than the Marauder, everyone is different.

That is 100% true. I've been lucky enough to have a company car all my working life, so literally all my car purchases have been emotional. And if I had the money and the storage space, I would have kept every one I ever bought. But the reality is that I don't have the money or the space. So I juggle what I can and buy what I can and make the painful decision to sell one to make room for a new one. That's the life of a car nut, I suppose.

I wish Jay Leno would hurry up and sign my adoption papers :D

Are you going the AED route? They only make a kit up to the '99 Vic (even though their site says '02 it doesn't pop up), so you'd be stuck if this is what you planned for. Plus, I believe their kit is about $4500, put that into the MM and see what happens.
