Wanted: 03+ rear axle

Hey guys,

I just bought a 2004 Crown Vic P71. The rear axle is making some weird noises, and instead of taking it apart and messing with it, I'm looking for a rear axle in good working order.

I'm located in Bloomington, IN and frequently travel to the Chicago area. I have a 3.27 RAR now, so that would be preferred (so would a locker), but I'm open to anything except 2.73s.

Would the E-brake still work if it was broken enough to make a noise? The E-brake still works and releases like normal.
