Marauder at Night (It's Cold out!)

Hi guys! Okay - I promised to post pictures of that car that I bought down in Florida with the bum door... Remember this?

The paint has been repaired, and I am very pleased with the outcome. The entire rear fender, the entire rear door, and part of the front door were repainted and blended with the rest of the car. As long as the body shop was mixing paint, I had them paint and install a rear OEM spoiler as well.

I was hoping the following pictures would have turned out better -- but you'll have to give me a break: I took these tonight here in Chicago and it's only 15 degrees -- so I was in a hurry. Enjoy....

I have MARAUDER fender badges to install -- but i'll have to wait until it warms up! My final mod will be to have some window tinting done.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm quite pleased with my purchase. The seats still look new because the car has only 10,100 miles on her. As far as the light-flint interior goes, I'm not totally sold on it. I set out looking for a DTR with Light Flint & sun roof, but the mileage on this one is what attracted me. I think window-tinting will make it look even snazzier.

My camera is not so good at night... A body guy might be able to find the paint work, but I can't... That last picture makes the door look different, but that is the un-touched side of the car, and just an artifact of the camera.

Yeah -- I really like it -- It really makes the front of the look as if it has been lowered, without having to do so. More than one person has asked me if it has been lowered.

Yep, I'm in Chicago... I tried to pull the car up onto the sidewalk in front of Wrigley Field, but I was afraid of getting yelled at (or worse) by our friends in blue. (I live just down the street from Wrigley - I can hear the roar of the crowd during summer ball games.)

Aww that makes me nostalgic, I went on a trip to Chicago in aug. and the fireworks boats coming out of Navy Pier were awesome.

And nice paint, looks good as new to me.

They have fire works at Navy Pier EVERY Wednesday and Friday during the summer.... Makes it awesome when visitors come to town as there is always something to see.... During the summer, anyway. :)

Sweet car and nice looking inserts. While they had the paint mixed should have had them paint the taillights and backup lights, too... ;)


Question, do you have more pictrues of the stainless inserts? I have the Bob White decals in black and I really like the black on silver. I personally didn't like the "regular" SS Inserts on Silver, but if they had a dark or black chrome version I would go with those. Would love to see more pictures of that.

How about some low angle front and front 3/4 to get the Mach1 spoiler in there. I have really been on the fence about getting that for my SB Marauder as I'm not sure I like it on there or not. I like it on black and DTR, just not sure on the silver.

Thanks for the compliments. The calipers are stock painted with the Duplicolor brush on caliper paint. Has held up pretty well, but took a beating last winter. I need to get some black and do the rotor hats to clean them up more - at least until I do the TCE +1 kit and that will have red powder coated Wilwoods.

By the way, the paint job is looking good. Definitely an improvement over what it was.

Yeah, I'm not bullish about silver, either -- but with the black grill and blacked-out headlights, it's okay. Tinting the windows will help the look -- Maybe blacking out the chrome on the sides as well, thinking about it.
