Was on 95s when a nice lookin red Z06 came passed me .well i was right next to him and then he took off i could catch him cause then some of the antifreeze shot out of the overflow and looked like smoke (scared me for a sec) but i knew what it was. Anyways we get off and the same exit and i pull up to him and he tries to tell me i blew my motor(nice of him) i said yeah you might be right lets see when the light turns green ( he smiles) light turns green and im allready ahead of him about a car and 1/2 length. it was about a 1/4 mile from light to light which i had all the way (wasn't a newer Z06) which we roll down windows and he asks if i'm Supercharged and i said yes and he replied thats nice. we part ways with horns and thats my kill for today..Sometimes i really love this car and sometimes i can't stand it. Darn fords.:)

Yup, it's a love/hate thing with me and my MM as well. I got put in my place this week by the following: a Subaru WRX, a Neon SRT 4, a Honda Civic SiR, and a Chevy Cobalt SS (oh, the horror!) The worst was from a Mazdaspeed 6.
The pisser is, all those cars cost the same as the MM did new, so they ARE comparable with price vs performance-wise. I later got to drive in the SiR, and it was a rough ride, crappy idle, boomy resonant exhaust and lots of interior squeaks. Performance always comes at a cost, and the MM is infinitely more livable than those other cars.
But doing the "stoplight grand prix" sucks. Before anyone rants to get a Trilogy, again I say that all these pocket rockets retail costs were the same from the dealer as the MM was. Hopefully my Trilogy will be ordered and installed by May, and all will be better. Until then, I'm not going after anything unless really provoked.
And I know my MM is average performance-wise, it's not a sick dog. Derek's 03 MM was faster off the line, but I caught up to him as speeds increased...and that was before I put in my JLT and Lidio's tune.

Taemian:
When I bought the Marauder, I really liked everything about the car EXCEPT the accelleration. My V-6 Tempo with the 5-speed would have kept up (150 fwhp in 2700# car vs 242 rwhp in 4200# car). It was very disappointing in that way. With 340 rwhp, however, its quite a different story!

Good video.
It is best for a car with street front tires to go around the water box and then back into it.
The reason is when you drive thru it you bring the water with you up to the launch pad which can be dangerous for the guy behind you. It also can make the launch pad slippery for you.

This is why i get no traction on take off even with drags.well this was the last time i'll race on a track since tracks blow motors for me.

I only have 16k on it a couple of months when I first switched jobs I had to drive it for a lil while back and forward to work until they gave me my company truck. I wanted to drive my 85 Crown Vic but its too expensive to drive that on a daily basis since I did the carb conversion on that.
