We've got a ton of trinkets from the official marauder collection in the registration bags, including hats, pens, keychains, etc etc...

We should also have posters, DVD's, etc etc available to those who want them too.

Whatever's limited amount of stuff left over will be available for sale through mercurymarauder.net to those who want stuff, but can't make it.

Logan, what you and Bob have accomplished in such a short time is amazing--been there-done that---you worked miracles. The mercurymarauder.net group has got to be the best group of people I have ever had the pleasure to know. The Texas Lincoln Mercury Dealers Association has supplied us with the support that we haven't seen from Mercury Corp. Through your efforts, we MM owners have been recognised by the leading after-market suppliers as a an active and energetic group and have responded in grand fashion. THANK YOU ALL for making the "MM experience " a very enjoyable and memorable time of my life. See you all at MARAUDERVILLE!!!, Maury

Hi all,
It's been some long day's, night's,phone calls and e-mails but I think I am done. With the help of Logan and all of you, and a list of others that goes on and on. It is final. The Round-up is going to be great. I know I cann't wait. I will put a list out later of all who help me. This may not mean much, but to me it does. We have some great sponors, and they are what make's this all happen. We have a great site and that's the real deal.
I want you all to know that there is two I have to give thanks to, one is the man up stairs, because of some things that have come up with my health he has gotten me to take my mind off of it. This round-up has been my relief.
Now the other person is my wife of all most 32 years this 20 Aug., she is my life and is behind this round-up as much as I am. Thats what make's me want a good round -up.
I'll stop for now. I know some may not want to hear this but I had to say it.
Thanks To all Bob

ok, I have been trying to think of a way to get to ennis with my MM. I don't want to drive all the wat there, I just hate the thought of the miles. I have checked the threads for people trucking thier cars down there. Is there anyone from the mid-west region going to have theirs trucked down there? If so how much was the cost and if there are more than one going, is there room for another MM on the truck?

I'll be taking short clips and pics, and can produce DVD's in my office...So, I guess, yes... There will be something compiled at the end of the day... :)

I'm going to be a busy ass guy that weekend...Anyone coming with digital cameras that can capture mpeg's, make sure you bring 'em, I'll need the help.

I'll have my laptop with me to download all my pics and I'll be loaded with memory sticks...

Someone asked about the FFW prices. As far as I know, this is the entry fee. $20 per person, for Saturday OR Sunday and $35 per person for Saturday AND Sunday. This will get you into the exclusive "Marauder Corral" parking area and will also cover pit access and grandstand seating for the entire event. If you want to enter the All-Ford Car Show, it's $30 for one day and $40 for both days (there is a Marauder Class too). If you want to run in the True Street event, it's $75 (30-mile cruise, etc.). If you want to run in the Street Ford bracket race (good for both days, two seperate races) it's $50. And finally, if you want to run in the Friday Test & Tune session, it's $25.

Marauderman
08-14-2003, 03:22 PM
First I've heard of these prices -

-Logan/Bob - Are these prices and purposes factual??----this info is needed for knowing how much $$$ needed for things and whats to be expected...

Accufab Racing
08-14-2003, 03:55 PM
Actually, I posted these prices several months ago on one of these threads. And yes, this is the FFW pricing for all of their 12 events.

Logan
08-14-2003, 06:48 PM
marauderman et al,

Sorry, I should've reposted this. We decided NOT to have any type of registration fee for the marauder corral, but there ARE gate charges and participation charges from FFW.

If you're just hanging out in the corral it's $35 for both days, more for racing and car show participation as detailed above by Accufab...

Trust me, the money you pay to get in the gate is MORE than worth it and I guarantee you'll feel that way by the time the event is done.

Accufab Racing
08-14-2003, 08:45 PM
The $35 for both days is what all 2-day spectators wil be paying, and of course, the non MM people will be directed to the spectator parking area and will not have access to park in the pit area. So you see, the Marauder Corral area is being provided by FFW for the same fee as a regular spectator would be paying. Fair enough?

Logan
08-14-2003, 09:12 PM
Absolutely... I just forgot to mention said fee to said people... :)

I never detected this thread before today, seems I missed out on critical 411 because of that. Nonetheless, this thread IS important 411 for all attending, regardless of the distance traveled.

Thank you Bob Mathis and Logan, for all your work in putting this together. Please keep us updated via this thread, for late breaking news.

Seems some real cash in hand will be required, at several gates in Ennis. Thank you for the "heads up" on this, see y'all in Ennis.

BTW...Anyone who wants to hook up with the Midwest-Chicagoland tribe as we nagavitate our way via I-57/I-55 to the West Memphis, Arkansas front door, please e-mail me directly at SergntMac@aol.com Once we hook up with the East Coast "BigDogJim" crew in West Memphis, we will be south bound and down on the I-40 to SR71, and on to Shreveport!

TAF...Y'all ready to meet us there? The last leg of this journey will be one wild trip, yes? And, one unforgettable experience too. I'm hoping you can help us navigate this last meet towards Ennis.

Youbetcha sir. Spoke with Bob Mathis today...he and his lovely wife (Jean) will be hooking up with us in Shreveport overnight in their his/her Marauders (of course...HIS will be "blown by Trilogy" by then). We figure you boys are going to be anxious, yet well within the speed limits coming in from Memphis. Expect you guys anywhere from 11:00 am till noon or so? Rendevous point on I-20W yet TBD, but forthcoming.

Then we ALL get to take that last 200 miles into Ennis together. We figure arriving into Marauderville between 1:00-2:30, just in time to check in....and make a statement.:coolman:

(Can you tell, I can't wait?)

It occurs to me that people who have FRS radios might want to tote 'em along. This is likely to be a big event and finding people may be tough. Also, they'll be handy for the 'parade' of cars coming in to Ennis (and on the way down, in case somebody needs to stop for gas or something and they are at the tail end of the train that already passed the exit).

If you don't have one, I'd recommend getting one (or two) of the 14-channel capable units that feature the private line settings - it eliminates listening to the crosstalk from other radios where people don't have that setting enabled.

It might also make sense to run two 'nets' - one to monitor within the group for information, and one 'known' channel for chats (if a 'known' channel, and you can't raise somone on the info channel, you at least know where to go look for them if they are off that channel and chatting elsewhere).

And, to make it dead-nuts simple, maybe we could print stickers for the back of the badges with the frequencies/channels on them to remind people of what they are. ;-)

Thoughts?

Mark

Most FRS radio's just have a primary and private channel setting. You don't need to know any frequency crap.

My Motorola FRS was about $30, runs on two AA's, has about a 1-2 mile range, private channels... I'll have it with me...

Huh!! We need a simpler explanation for those who do not understand what is said here--like go and buy a blank blank type two -way radio CB at blank place that we all can use and we will be using channels X abd X for X and X... --we need something like that and for someone to establish those perimeters...help--( hope that wasn't to elementary)

So does that about sum it up ..........Tom..( I might be one of those confused--don't tell anyone)--

Logan

Simple. Go to any 'ol electronic store. Ask 'em to point you at their FRS radios. They're like $30-50 and are child's play to operate once you see how simple they are. Push button...Talk. Done.

And for your pleasure, the quickest & fastest Marauder powered Cougar will be running in FFW competition. John Mihovetz just won the PSCA Pro Street race in Las Vegas (09/01) against an all-Chevy field (8 cars). John is having boost problems and the temperature was 115 degrees and 5000' corrected altitude and he still ran a 7.23 and 190 MPH in the finals. All the Chevy engines were big block power and John's 281" twin turbo was more than they could handle. See ya in Texas.
