I'm just curious what everyones gas mileage averages? I used to get about 300 miles to the tank, my fiancee gets about 330-340 in her MM, (all highway time). Since I got a tune from DR my gas mileage is in the TOILET. I don't know whether is because I can't keep my foot out of it or there is something else wrong....

I get 18-19 MPG in town and 21-23 MPG highway at 75-80 MPH!!

I used to get (pre-SC) 23-25 MPG highway but I guess the parasitic lost accounts for some of the drop??

If you use ethanol "enhanced" fuel you will drop 10-20% in fuel mileage....some "Winter Blends" account for a loss in economy as well!!:mad2:

The tune will also cause a drop around town??

I use Shell "V-Power" exclusively getting 5% rebates and my fuel mileage is very consistent!!:bows:

Oh my God! Only about 100 miles per tank? Hmmmm - I think that just turned me off S/C'ing my car! :(

On the highway, I can score about 21 MPG -- With 4.10s and a DR tune. Not too bad for a 4,200lb beast, really!

I don't much bother to measure my around town mileage as I tend to heavy-foot it.

I have photographic evidence of 29.1. I'll post it up later.

Yeah, with 4.10's an S/C'ed i get 16-17 in the city with short trips (drive to work is 8miles with stop lights) but 24-25mpg on the highway if I'm light on the pedal, heavy on the pedal I'm still above 20.

100miles for a tank is about 6mpg...!!!

I get 12-14 city, 16-20 highway with my tune. I did find that with my Reinhardt tune, the platinum spark plugs wore out decreasing my mileage even further. I swithced to Motorcraft sp505 plugs. They are copper and cooler running. My gas mileage has gone back up, and so has performance.
I just drove to and back from Las Vegas including city diving I averaged 21 MPG there and 20 on the way back. (more uphill driving at speeds of about 82-85 MPH)

As I have said here a few times before, since the DR workup on RP1, I do not care about my gas mileage or the price of BP 93 octane... I am in this for the fun of burning as much fossil fuel as possible....

14-17 around town, 21-23 on the highway with 4:10's and a DR tune. I could probably improve the in-town mileage, but I run it pretty hard from the stop lights, and I usually have the OD off.

My light comes on at around 300 when I fuel up, it stops around 16 gallons. So mixed city/freeway I am averaging 19-20MPG(during the commute week with some stoplight derby action). I was able to get 365 on a tank doing 80-85 all on the freeway and had another 2 gallons when I fuled (2 kids, wife, luggage and xmas gifts).

I have achieved better mileage numbers with a Trilogy and 4:10's, than EPA claims the Marauder gets stock.
Hyper-mileing, I got 18.5 city normally 16-17 city.

All my driving is city driving, stop light to stop light. I was just wondering why my mileage dropped off so drastically but after reading some of the posts here it seems I might be right on point with the rest of you guys. Thanks for all the input guys. I was thinking about getting some new COP and plugs.. Would that help at least increase a little? Right now I have the stock plugs and COPs. THanks again.

How old are your stock plugs? Originals? How many miles?

I'd get a nice set of Motorcraft coppers and change 'em at regular intervals. A new set of properly gapped plus can help alot, the OEMs most likely will show wear with a few miles on them.

If the COP's work I wouldn't get new ones unless you plan to upgrade them. You may look into the coil connectors though.

I got 17 mpg combined (city/highway 70/300 miles) on my last trip, average speed, uuhh, let's say it was less then a 100 on the pike, with a number of OD off, WOT runs.

I hope none of you SC guys are driving til the light comes on!!

I usually fill up with about 1/4 tank. Generally put in between 12 and 14 gallons.

I have about 4k on the new motor and plugs. I was thinking of upgrading with new plugs and COP's and all that jazz.

I get about 17 with mixed driving and just shy of 20 on the highway, with 4:30's and an S/C. Check your "after tune" actual results & give me a call.

Okay guys... I did a little investigation. My fiancee's car is down so I let her drive my car. After one week of driving I asked her how much gas she had and about how many miles on the trip OD. SHe gave it back to me with a little over a quarter tank of gas in it and 265 miles on the clock. So that averages out to... okay I suck at math so basically she got way better mileage out of it than I did. I asked her what she did... she told me she did the "speed limit" and smiled. Maybe I do have a case of the heavy right foot syndrome.

John, I'm still going to figure out my exact mileage and give you a buzz. We need to have another get together soon.

Close to the same thing happened to me on a 13 hour trip to up north. After I drove for a while I gave the keys to my other half after a fill up. I then went to sleep while she drove. When I woke up and looked at the odometer and the the gas gauge I had to ask, What time warp did we pass through to get that far on so little gas, but then I remembered waking up and seeing everything in the world pass us up. And I almost had to nerve to tell her to speed up, but that's when I decided against it and went back to sleep. I think she got close to 25 mpg, and that was with 4.10 gears at that time.
