Im guessing it's prob the LCM. This thing is the biggest POS I have ever owned in my life. So much for CPO, ford has left a sour taste in my mouth.

Well after the venting.....

I was driving yesterday when the I head a click and the headlights cut out. The went back on, then the click again they went off for good. It was real nice considering it was 3 in the morning. Well as of now all the lights are out, headlights, interior lights, parking lights, dash, turn single, fog, back. However high beams work when you pull the stalk back and the brake lights come on.

Oh yeah 2004 w/ 24k

I would suggest you have some sort of short somewhere? I have 70k on my 04 and no such issues. I have heard some reports of the wiring harness in the engine bay, directly in front of the driver, having failed for a couple people. There is some sharp sheet metal in there.

Check the fuse situation. If you have blown fuses, track down that short.

Not sure how many have had issue with the LCM....?

Sounds like a combination of LCM and the multifunction switch, as the brake lights go through the MFS circuit.

Of course, if you want to sell the POS, PM me.

dont jump and call it a POS.... i have had a few problems too but you get them fixed and enjoy the car.... wait till your Coil pack gets water in it or your tranny needs a rebuild, then complain...

When I bought mine 04 with 40k miles it had a low charge alternator and was stalling out all the time. Of course I wasn't happy about it and had to deal with it for 2 wks but I got over it and got it back to the dealer and 2 hrs later it was good as new.

Check all of your bulbs, being in auto parts for many years.. A few times I've seen bulbs freak out the courtesy module in lots of cars.. Check every light like the Brake and turn signal bulbs, cornering lamp bulbs, directionals, headlamp bulbs etc.. One crossed leg IN the bulb will short it out and cause the module to default or the auto breaker to cycle on and off.

I know, I'm jealous your MM has plastic fenders. Wish mine had those. :stupid::cool4:

Sounds like the relay in the LCM is out...

You can fix that...There is a post that shows you how...Not hard at all, if you can work a solder iron...

I think Makaii posted the same complaint and someone posted the fix to it...

ALOHA

BTW: I'll post up the "fix" when I find it...
