i have a deal on a ford svt cobra supercharger brand new is it a good idea it to have this supercharger installed on my car vs buying one made for my car or would it end up costing the same about the same and does anyone know what mods would be needed:help:

HA! Use the search function, Cobra blower's have been discussed many times, a lot of work would be involved and money. It would just be cheaper to buy a kit for the Marauder.

When the Twin Srew comes out there maybe some used parts on the market that will let you use the eaton.

Isn't there a snout length issue?

I don't think so. Reason I say so is Merc posted pics of an overdrive crank pulley from a Cobra on his Trilogy car, it works fine. Better than using a smaller blower pulley because it keeps more surface contact area with the belt, reducing the chance of belt slippage.

The Battery and air intake are on opposite sides. Probably some other stuff that's different as well.

This is not an easy or cheap task. As stated it has been discussed many times before, so a search on this inquiry will yield plenty of tech details.
In addition to the above mentioned items in this thread, the snouts are different between the Cobra and Trilogy setup. Using the cobra eaton you will need to convert to a cobra belt setup which the main difficulty that i'm aware of is alternator placement. Cobra places it down on the bottom which interferes with the frame.
Everything is possible but do not look at a Cobra or Lightning setup as a quick and cheap fix for an S/C Marauder. Yes there are some with full Cobra engine swaps that made it work but you will see it was not easy or cheap.
I do not know of anyone who adapted a cobra blower setup to an existing Marauder engine.

I think the L Eaton's are much different than the Cobra's too. Wouldn't the air inlet duct be bigger since it's a 5.4 vs. a 4.6?

Don't think so because the 5.4 makes it's displacement in part by additional deckheight in the block. The LIM could be different though. The Eaton core is probably the same...the hard part is the custom stuff built around that.
