I come up with 29.6 mpg. Return trip near Christmas through VA. Not doing any of that "ultimate mileage" crap, just speeds between 58 - 62 mph. If I didn't have to stop 3 times for rest rooms, I think I'd crack the big 30! Beat that!

... just speeds between 58 - 62 mph.
Looks like I will never beat that record. :o Speed limit through VA on I-95 is 65 MPH ... assuming that traffic is moving at all ... the typical flow is at least 70-75 MPH.

That is SUPERB gas mileage.. I never get that, because I driver a bit over the limit....
But your story reminds me: I lent my car to my father for a week, and he drove it out on the road quite a bit. He commented, "This thing gets pretty good mileage!"
Uhh - Yeah, when you drive 5 MPH under the limit! :)

I think it was from Wytheville VA to Krumsville PA. I was following the storm, so I wasn't really in any hurry. Like I said, if I "behaved" a little more with the diet cokes, I could cracked 30. Not too shabby though, 14 sec and 29 mpg in a 2 ton car.

I had one trip to St Louis, I held a steady 55-60 mph just to see if I could make it without refueling.
I had 350 miles on the trip odo when I rolled into town, the gauge read 1/3 of a tank left.
I was not able to refill and get mileage, cause I did not want to race with a full tank.
My Best recorded mileage was 25.7 , that was pre- Trilogy

HA! I'm lucky to see 170 on a FULL tank. I can only imagine my mileage blown.

I don't buy any of these #s, pictures or no pictures, because the clean air nozzles they use nowadays cut off filling very inconsistently from one pump to another. I have "topped off" my car many times, clicking the thing like 20 times, only to find out that I had a few gallons left empty in the tank. Unless you are using a buret to measure fuel, there is huge room for error. I don't know about "be all end all"... The avg fuel mileage of a general purpose stock or chipped MM is not much over 20 mpg for a reason
