Trouble with keyless entry pad

I'm having trouble with the keypad on the door it takes 7-8 times entering the code in before it would open, what is wrong?

Sounds like the pad is going bad.. It can be replaced from inside the door. You can buy it from the dealer here I suppose and save some money doing it yourself.
