I have been going thru fog lights like they are s**t. I also have had instrument panel lights fail and oil and volt meter lights fail. Does anyone know what the *ell is up?

The fogs could be bad harness connections allowing moisture in. I had this problem with my left fog lamp. Replaced everything and all was ok. I have no idea on the other problems.

If you have access to a oscilloscope, it might be worth checking to see if your electrical system is clean. If you're going through lots of bulbs, you may also have a voltage issue.. Put a real bench meter on your car and make sure you're pushing no more than 14.5 volts or so. (Really should be about 13.8 when the engine is running.) If you're running much more than that, get the problem diagnosed right away or you'll end up burning through much more expensive parts: ECU's, EATC controls -- and anything else "computerized".

That truly is odd.
Of all of my aftermarket bulbs, and yes, EVERY bulb other than cluster have been replaced, only the high beams frequently burn out.
And that is the result of poor workmanship.
You definately have a problem with a ground, or some type of voltage regulation. Something is spiking those circuits.
