Where can I find a Maurader in blue? Is there a locator site that anyone knows of? I am in Tallahassee Florida so if I could find one in FL,GA,or AL it could be workable. If they are dealing on those too. My local dealer has offered me a black 2003 new for -8000 off sticker, (about 27k) hes got about 8 of them. But I love that blue and if Iam going to get rid of my cobra (which is 7months from payoff) and only 22k miles, I dont want to settle. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I don't know the reason why you would want to get rid of the Cobra with only 7 months from payoff, but if you must.
Blue is rare, have you tried talking with Dennis, he has a blue one and he's in Florida. ;)

GRNSNK: Cant belive your local L&M dealer will not fine you a blue one? Some dealers?
I have found blue Marauders up North, Phila. Pa. and the problem is they try to get full sticker price for them because they KNOW they are rare?
Good Luck
PS: TAF gave you good advise call the L&M dealer listed above his post.

My dealer sounded frustrated with all the black ones he has. Its no wonder why from what I ve learned from this board. No factory supported sales program(likeSVT), their sales staff knows nothing about the car, their allotment determined by Gran Marqi sales, (they sell alot of them here, but that Merc cutsomer could care less about 305 HP etc) and their iniatial greed (when they first came out they wanted $3000 over sticker here) even sticker did not give the performance dollar for the hard core (they buy a new Cobra for that money). He didnt even offer to locate a blue one. If the blue are going for sticker my search might be over, its the new prices that have me looking. Still torn about the Cobra decision too. So close to payoff and 20K miles. I still love that car. Ran a 13.3 @104 last time out before the 4.10s w/a 2.20 60ft. Even my wife says I should keep the Cobra, even siad "then you could get that supercharger you want" YIKES! But we're expecting our 2nd and the MM would be nice for Dad. Who am kidding I just think the car is Damn Cool! I cant thank this board enough already. Everyone has been very helpful and sincere. Some other boards I visit they eat there own. I'll keep looking, and be jealous of you guys in the mean time.

Hang in there buddy, it'll happen, the best damn family car around IMHO. Forget the minivans and SUV's, I got rid of a Navigator for this car. I've got two boys 8 & 12 and I can haul all thier stuff, no problem. And long road trips are a dream!! Keep looking..you won't be sorry.

GRNSNK,
I got an email today that I think was accidentally mis-addressed to me. Here it is:

Re: That Bad Ass Marauder
Buy it. You want it. You can hear it calling to you. It's cool. You're cool. Such a natural fit. Don't turn away. Look into the paint... you see yourself there. Do it do it do it.
---
Now... you should ignore the voices in your head, but when they email you... then you should do what they say.

I can see you guys are not the voice of reason or logic................I think I like this board! I ve already talked to Reinhart Auto too....................such bad influnces !!!! You all are berry berry bad.........gonna make me have a car payment again! My dealer keeps calling about the black ones he has, if he keeps dropping price who knows....... but if I find a blue one in person......it will likely be the end of any willpower. :coolman:
Quick question too; what MAS is on the MM? 80mm? I know my steeda pullies will work from my Cobra, I wish the X pipe would fit , but if I could use my C&l that would be cool too.
Hello,
Just wondering.....did GRNSNK indeed finally locate a blue MM? Is anyone aware of any other blues that are still available? If so, unpurchased new ones must now truly be as rare as hen's teeth!
Thank you!

Zane,
Blue is definetly hard to find. I found one and I think its sold now, they wanted 2% over invoice. There are some in the northern states though, and they seem to want more than the black ones too. I ve also been looking for silver but no luck either. The deals on black are almost too good to ignore. My dealer has 14 and is really dealing on them. Blue doesnt get you much off in price it seems. I dont know what the blue MM owners here paid on average? I am still looking, and debating on my Cobra, if I found a blue or silver with the right price I am sure one look and test drive and it would all be over!
I saw a blue one on the lot last week at frdwrnch's dealership in Charlotte, NC...send him a PM.
Or give them a call:

I'll second what Todd said above. I was there (Vantage L/M) last Friday getting my headlights adjusted and I saw it. I asked Russell if it was a customer's car and he said nope. It is in the back lot and it is BLUE.

If someone wants a Blue MM, there is one at Safford L-M in Silver Spring MD. It has heated seats, Trunk organizer and CD changer in trunk. It also has a set of wheels that were etched (clearcoat) by some idiot using a caustic cleaner on the wheels and tires.
If you are interested, call and ask for Zee in New Cars sales. And then casually mention that you expect a brand-new spankin set of wheels to replace the ones that are damaged -- clearcoat looks streaked even after cleaning a polishing. How do I know these things you ask? They were on my car up to last week!!!!!
Told all concerned -- DO NOT BUFF, Clean or Prep other than fluids.

From his first post,
I am in Tallahassee Florida
GRNSNK, what's up with your dealer? From your posts his inventory keeps going up!
Most dealers are selling at these low prices.
To get a Blue, for the price you'd like, you may have to go farther away than you want to, but may be worth it.

People here have emailed me ., called me etc........Mark Rush even called me from Ohio. Thanks Mark! I still havent brough home a blue but have located several. Most too far away, but still. I like the silver too now that I ve seen it. I wish I could get one of each!! I did take a good friend of mine down yesterday and helped him buy a black 03 300A. The price was unbelievable!! You almost have to buy! Thats soooo much car and cool for the money! I wonder if they'll continue on dealing with 04's??? hmmmmmmmmmmm . Well Be Safe guys!

Absolutely!! Hes not a "car guy"in any sense, but I told him that he could learn alot about his car here and that this board is helpful and its members friendly. Some boards eat there own ya know. Hes got me for any mechanical stuff. I am already trying to get him to let me put on the exta steeda pullies I have and the 4.10s in the shop. Hes not ready yet but he'll get there . ;) His is black with sunroof, trunk organizer.

OK GRNSNK,
Tell us all the real story. :) Are you buying/ have you bought/or are you just toying with us MM owners here? You better go grab a Blue MM quickly before all of them are Goooone! The rest of us can see you are on the fence.
Go do it and then mod it up to meet your real performance expectations. I can't in any way say that you would mistake an MM for your Cobra, but ... it is neat and will draw a crowd anywhere you take it. Put an SC in that baby and take her to the track and you will smoke some of the best.
Best wishes,
Gordon B.

Well perhaps I spoke too soon, or was mistaken in being all inclusive of everbody here. I am not fickle but just want to do what is right for me and my family, price , color I want ,etc to justify the purchase. Perhaps if I fail to get one and this board declares me an enemy, I'll just have show assertivness with each Maurader I pull over with my interceptor! :D
I am looking at one on Saturday and meeting with my dealer Friday, they say they can get me one now. They just shipped five of theirs (black) to a dealer in FT. Lauderdale. My friend bought his for 23, 300 25800 tax title tag out the door. So if someone is looking for a black one my sales guy hear is doing some of the best prices. He has both 300A and 300B.

Now go buy that car. At these prices they are a real steal

Hey GRNSNK,
Don't forget your sense of humor when you sit in that Interceptor. Believe me, more folks that do sit in those things...need to remember that.:)
As far as being able to "justify the purchase"...this car, available in the mid-$20K price range, if you're in the market for a vehicle...I challenge you to find a better value for the $.

Thanks guys, I am just kidding. I do keep my sense of humor in check, and am known to be sympathetic to the car crowd in town. TAF I agree, I work with some guys that just need to lighten up and they forget they can be decent to people and still get the job done with out loading them up with tickets. I tried to cinvince our fleet guy that the deparment needed to buy the remainder on our local lot. Geesh theyre selling for less than we pay for new interceptors. Now that would be a fun take home car!!

Tallahassee Lincoln Mercury, have me an out the dooe price including Tax Title Tage of 25,700 for an 03 black. He had 14 2 weeks ago and is down to five or four now. My friend got 8k off sticker and the 3500 rebate. They did the number swap on paper to reflect that his 14K trade toyota truck was worth 21K+ and then gave him the 3500 rebate. Let me know if someone wants me to contact them for you..................I ve sent several to them already.

In Portland, Oregon There is a blue one. The salesman even says the price is neog. , before thier answer was it's $38,000 and we don't want to talk about it. I don't know what thier bottom line on this car is, but if you're still looking for a blue one try giving him a call. Steve Newton at Ron Tonkin L/M 503 257 2119.

Try Don Jackson Linolcn Mercury in Union City GA (south of Atlanta). 770-696-7229. They had a Blue Marauder demo on their lot about a week ago when I was last down there.
Ask for Gary Nestlehutt. He will tell you the price up front and it will probably be better than you expected.
