So I decided to buy a spare set of floor mats. After reading all the posts, I armed myself with some part numbers, and headed off. I told the parts guy what I wanted. After a few keystrokes, he first told me that he could get me floor mats, but that there wasn't anything special about the ones for the Marauder (just like this site said he would say). I explained to him that the floor mats had "Marauder" embroidered on them, and I had some part #'s to try. He waved me off, and continued to type away. Finally he said "Let me see those numbers". Then "Ah-ha, here we go...yes...Marauder floor mat set". Then "Bad news, the computer says they are no longer available" (just like this site said he would say). I said " Are you sure, could check those part numbers again?". After more typing, he says "I can have them here in 7 to 10 days, cash, check, or charge?" The moral of the story is that if they tell you the mats are not available, make them check again (although maybe I should keep my mouth shut until I have them in my hands).

Here is my question to all of you. I ordered part # 3W3Z-5413300-AAA. The part guy said that they only came in one color. The parts guy said something about "Midnight Black". On my window sticker, my interior color is listed as "Dark Charcoal", and my mats are not black. I don't remember if the interior came in black also? The Marauder sales brochure lists "Light Flint leather trimmed interior" and "Dark Charcoal leather trimmed interior". Are all the floor mats the same color...dark gray. Anyone have black mats?

FordParts.com- $73.00 w/shipping. Ships within 5 days.
Never order parts from the dealer unless you need them right then.

I went to fordparts.com before I went to the dealer. I did a search for "marauder" that fount no results. Then I put in the part number, and again it found no match. That's why I went to the dealer. How is it listed on fordparts.com?

Nevermind...I found it. I had to use dashes in the part number. The word 'Marauder' is not in the description. Oh well, that was a $7.00 mistake. But back to my question...do they only come in dark grey?

No matter which of the two leather seating colors you have...the carpet in ALL Marauders are the same color...

Yeah, since I plan to keep my MM forever, I can see myself buying a couple of sets now so I will be able to change them in years to come when they are no longer available. Thanks for the tips on ordering.

Been thinking about ordering a spare set, too. Was wondering about the description of the part # at fordparts.com:
KIT MAT ASSEMBLY-FRONT & RIGHT REAR

You guys SURE this is the correct part number?

I ordered that part number, but I did not receive the "Marauder" mats. The mats are the midnite black color and the proper size but they do not have "Marauder" embossment. I have the original floor mats still unopened in the original plastic. The label has the part # on it but I also noticed underneath that it says "45 of 70". Leads me to believe they made these specifically for each MM as a limited production run just like the car itself.

Based on crom's info it sounds like we're back at square 1 here...

Is the part number on the package the same as what you ordered?

I'd ignore the "45 of 70" I've seen that on other Ford parts. It may just be related to the number shipped in a lot

It is possible the mats you received without the embroidery were sent in error

After further review -the decision is= We all should(need) to get additional set/s ---it makes sence now from what others have said--for sure--so...whats the correct part #--

What a minute--you know what we all need is---you guessed it---after many threads of parts #'s over many months here--we don't have a (permanent) area we can "pop" up for this info---
HUmmmmm. wouldn't it be nice to have a subject like "MM Part #'s " on the Main Menu Bar......

Uh Oh--I better stop now--Logan may be XXXX I'm evening thinking out loud....

I can't find the receipt from when I ordered the mats. The parts rep at the dealer did check the part# she pulled up against the one on the originals when I ordered them. I did not double check myself, so I can't say 100% that it was the same.

I too kept my original mats in the plastic along with the cargo net. Went to my Ford dealer and ordered replacements for both. I also went to a local retailer and bought a set of Rubber Maid black carpeted floor mats for everyday use. I take the replacement Marauder mats out for special occasions only.

Today I ordered from weathertech.com which is MacNeil Automotive some of the top quality rubber mats with the carpet inserts. They are black on black and I believe the best you can buy. This is the third set I have purchased. They are deep and clean up very easy.
Including shipping they were about $103.00. Check them out.

That link only leads you to black floor mats. Aren't there any grey ones available?

The ones you are talking about are universal for GM and MM. They have Mercury embroidered, not Marauder...I think.

Ross-that goes back to my original question. I just find it hard to believe that it is so difficult to buy an set of floor mats that look exactly like the ones in my car! Why can't they list it as "floor mat set, Marauder"

Mikeenh

My mats just came in from Fordparts.com.
Part # 3W3Z-5413300-AAA $65.98 plus $6.95 shipping.
These are the exact mats that came stock with my car.
They read Marauder up the side. There was talk about being black. They are dark grey. I wear a hole under the gas pedal after about 2 years. I figured these might become obsolete soon.
For the ones out there that put mats on their mats to protect their mats that are supposed to protect the CARPET or have put in aftermarket generic mats to save the originals.... get a set and enjoy the look

I just picked mine up from my LM dealer. Same part # as Mike...3W3Z-5413300-AAA. Dark grey with "Marauder" embroidered on the front ones, plain on the back ones. A perfect match, now I am happy!

The heavy duty rubber floor mats available at the LM dealer have the Mercury Logo ( waterfall ) on them. They are black and I have them in my MM. You can always remove them for a show and install the factory mats. I think the are great and they fit very well. IMHO.:D

Those heavy duty rubber ones sound like a great idea for winter - it's what I plan to do to keep the OEM mats clean of salt and other crap.

Of course one could always dry clean them.
