Yep, Dave is gonna nab this one

I spoke with Dave and answered his questions, but the car isn't sold until the car is sold if you know what I mean. I'm going to go take some new pics and try to get an in-car test drive video to post up for other prospective buyers.

Inquires still welcomed!

Uploaded some pics from this afternoon to photobucket:

It was 20 degrees outside today so the exhaust vapors clouded up the pics of the rear a bit, but you get the idea... your basic black on black Marauder with a few goodies.

A decent pic of engine bay and list of mods posted here:

Well sorry to say Dave's Cobra sale fell through. Larry, give me a call if you're still interested...

More info
I just remembered that I have a brand new in-the-box set of Marauder floor mats I bought from Ray a couple years ago, a genuine "Marauder" bra that was used on one trip and then put away (too many clips for me), a Car Motor Sports polished steering wheel Godshead emblem (bought to match the front/rear emblems just never installed), and a panther-specific Wolf Automotive dust cover. To sweeten the deal even more, all this and a set of retired Martyo retro Marauder fender badges (just add tape) go with the car. Sorry, no jacket.

Also, I looked at my paperwork and the rear 295/45/18 Nitto NT555 tires have 7,700 miles on them (installed 4/06) and the front 255/45/18 Nitto NT555 tires only have 3,300 miles on them (installed 1/07). That's right, I've only put an average of less than 4,000 miles / yr on the car in the past two years... would have been more if I would have went to the past two Maraudervilles. I guess you don't put on many miles when you only drive a car on nice weekends.

Please, someone buy my garage queen before it warms up and I fall in love with her again!

Your specs page says gas mileage on highway is 17-20 MPG. What kind of mileage does a setup like yours get around town?

Your specs page says gas mileage on highway is 17-20 MPG. What kind of mileage does a setup like yours get around town?

Last time I drove up to Waterloo see TMF I logged my highway mileage to see how the 4.30 gears did on gas. Over 1100 miles I averaged 18.3 mpg, with a low of 17.1 mpg on stretch of interstate and a high of of 20 mpg when JWheeler drove it back to Waterloo from north Chicago on county roads. Jason had a pretty soft touch on the pedal though. Cruising at 70 mph is just at 2500 rpm in OD.

I haven't really kept track of city mileage, but when I remember to reset the trip odometer between fill-ups it ranges between 12.5 to 14.5 mpg although I haven't purposefully tried to go easy on it to figure out how high it could be. After owning a Dodge 1500 with a 5.7L V8 that got 12 mpg in town and now a F150 with a 4.2L V6 that gets 16 mpg in town I figure it's all relative. The Marauder is obliviously a lot more fun to drive.

I have experienced identical results. I think the mpg figures above are right on what you can expect.

I've had a few calls on the Marauder so far (thanks those that have shown interest) but the middle of February probably isn't the prime selling season. Initially I was going to wait until it warmed up before posting in the classifieds but I figured I would put it out there now to see if anyone was looking.

I've gotten a couple of questions about the "daily driveability" of the car and thought I'd address that in this thread. My only thoughts (concerns, whatever) regarding this are towards winter driving. The Nitto NT555s aren't all-season radials and probably wouldn't do very well in the snow. I've found them to perform well on wet roads at highway speed and provide pretty decent dry traction. Personally, I think they've been a good compromise between the OEM BFGs and drag radials, but you still have to temper your right foot on cold pavement. As far as the supercharger itself it's pretty much recognized that you need to let the car come up to operating temps before getting too far up the rpm gauge, but our friend snowbird up in Canada has run his Procharger in a much colder climate than we have here in the midwest without any problems.

There's been several people that have driven my car and I so far I've only gotten complements on how nicely it still drives. I tend to drive it a little closer to the edge because I have a better feel for what I can and can't do with it, but a reasonable person wouldn't have any problems with getting in it and going where they need to go. My wife drives it when she needs to (she can't drive my truck because it's a manual) and she isn't afraid of it. I even had to let my MIL drive it for a week to run the kids back and forth to school while she was down visiting this past December while the wife was taking classes for work. I can't say I was all that excited about it but grandma managed fine. I'd even go as far as to say it's still fairly well mannered for all the mods it has, you just better have your wits about you when you put the loud pedal down.

As far as reliability of the supercharger itself I wouldn't have a second though about hopping in it and driving 1,000+ miles. I've been to Detroit and back with it for MVIII and I've gone up to visit TMF in Waterloo several times now since being supercharged. Probably more than half the miles on it so far are long distance driving. Heck, MarauderJack has over 80k on his ProCharger and only just recently sent it back for freshening. Knock on wood they all go that far before needing factory servicing.

I've been fortunate to keep the Marauder as my nice weekend cruiser (except when I go to visit TMF, then it's guaranteed to rain) because I also have a pickup to pull work duty. When someone asks me if it's a daily driver I say hell no, but in reality the new owner is going to do whatever he or she wants to do with it. Slap a snow tire package on it during the winter and have at it. I almost feel guilty not putting as many miles on it as it I have, but I'll tell you every one of them has been a joy.
