Look in the photo gallery. I made one and would make another if you bought a new grill and sent both the new one and yours to me. PM me if you are interested.

I can attest to thie awesome job Zack does on the front grill. If it wasn't for the fact that he helped me create the ultimate front badge, I woulda had him do a whole new front grill.

Do yourself a favor and get him to do one for you - it looks like an OEM job and he probably wont charge too much.

unless you are an expert - and I mean EXPERT - at doing 'bondo' I would not suggest even trying to do this yourself.

(slowpoke is not affiliated with Zack Consolidated Industries and this is an unpaid testimonial.

Is this the correct part number? Black front grille - 3W3Z-8200-AAA (from the FAQ site). Also can someone get us a price quote?

I have some interest from many members to do a grill for them. I wont charge a lot, but Id prefer to do a new grill so everyone can switch back to a stock grill at a moments notice if they choose. I will have a hectic schedule this month with the S/C install, starting a new job (or 2) and other things. I am willing to help all those interested and I appreciate the positive feedback from everyone. When I get around to doing them, I will let everyone know. In the meantime, e-mail me zackmcgrath@hotmail.com, state that you'd be interested in a grill, and I will make them in the order of e-mails received. A ballpark price right now is $250.00 outright with no core necessary. Remember, to make one grill, I must start with two, thus the price.

P.S. How do I access the photo gallery?

I just sent the message below to another member just before I decided to do a search on this subject. Is the cost still $250? Do you think that your method is better than what I have described as an alternative method below? Is yours so well done that you cannot tell one grill "rib" or "bar" from another?

I'm determining the best way to remove the front grill badge(logo). I've spoken to my body shop guy and we're evaluating the situation.

It's not easy and will cost me about a few hundred dollars.
My objective is to make the grill behind the badge look like the rest of the grill.

Since the badge actually causes a depression in three of the "ribs"of the grill (made of plastic. What kind?), one has to cut the plastic out between the grill and then fill in (What material is best to use?). The depression which will be one "rib" width only. But will the filled in "rib" be strong enough? This is what Logan and Zach did.

The other method is to buy a second grill and remove the full ribs adjacent to the badge depression and glue each end to existing car grill after the "ribs" are removed from the existing grill attached to the badge. Are lengths of the ribs adjacent to the badge long enough so that than can be glued at each end to the existing grill. This presumes that a very strong glue is available.

Which will result in the strongest grill and be the least expensive way?

I'll send the guy another message telling him about what you have done.

Zack:

Those badgeless grilles look GREAT! Is it $250 total and we send you nothing else? Or do we send you one grille PLUS the $250? Or do we send you TWO grilles PLUS the $250? Thanks a lot--keep up the great work!

zack can also work wonders with the front badge if you decide that you want the godshead facing front. he re-did mine [i did a sloppy job and installed it while the paint was still tacky]

somewhere in the photo gallery there is a pitcure of it and i am sure he could do the same for others for much less than $250.

Slowpoke- You stated that Zack can place the mercury God's head on the front and back badges? I am interested as to what is the Procedure .

I made my grill with cost savings in mind. I knew all along the 'right' way to make a badgeless grill was making one out of two. My 'bondo bars' are as perfect as the bars next to them, but way too much time was invested into making it. I call it the prototype that supplied results, and a learning lesson. Logan just made a grill by borrowing 'bars' from another grill. This is the right way to do it and it looks great. A word of caution: the donor grill will only 'donate' 6 bars. The length of the bars tapers down as you move outward. Anyone can do it themselves, but if youd like me to do it, send me 2 grills and 50 bucks.

What Petrograde said . . .

Wow, Zack! That sounds like a great deal! Thank you for offering this much-desired cosmetic mod at such a reasonable price!
