HI Folks!
I hope I'm not beating a dead horse but
how many of you have installed/ordered Eib. springs.
And if you would be kind enough to tell me, what is your input?.
Yes! I have done a search. I have read what our friends Zack, Taf, MI2QWK4U, and LcplRetired have shared with us. All great stuff but I was hoping to find out more from others. I guess I'd like to use this as a poll to help me and probably other mbrs here decide to Install them or not. Like I've said somewhere/someplace before to me it's all about the numbers!
Seems like these Eibach spring that I ordered and purchased as a good deal$$ a week 1/2 ago have been sitting in my office under my computer desk winking at me. just asking for it!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:help:
Million thanks in advance!!

What would u like to know? You wont find a lot of guys on here that actually have them installed. Eibach only made a few sets to start off with to test demand. I was told this by an Eibach engineer when I called for info on them. I believe others have posted that more will become available in september or so. I love them, the car handles better, you do sacrifice some ride quality, but it's very small. My wife doesnt mind the ride at all. The other fact to consider is the look. I now get comments on how much better it looks lowered. If you have any thoughts or questions, feel free to ask away.

Hey maudominguez:
Where'd you buy your Eibachs from? I can't wait to get a set of Eibachs and Dennis' sway installed! Also, what did Chicane charge you for your sway bar install? I might do the sway bar myself--seems fairly simple from what others have posted--unless Chicane can do it for a pretty low price. Also, what do you think Chicane would charge for the Eibach install? You can post here (if it's allowed) price/vendor/availability for your Eibach info or e-mail me at nbcshooter@comcast.net (my PMs are full, sorry). Sorry for all the questions. Much appreciated--thanks!

I have the Eibachs installed and I agree with what Dave (MI2QWK) said. I have driven the car a fair amount under pretty varied conditions since the install and I am glad I did it. I will tell you though that the ride is harder, without being harsh. The car does lose some of its luxury car soft ride and that may bother some, but not likely as most of the members here all apparently drive with gusto.
On the install, my mechanic charged me for three hours labor which compared favorably to others that I have spoken to about the install. Just apply your local labor rate to that figure and you will be in the ball park for the cost of install. This is not a simple install. Make sure you have confidence in your mechanic, a sthe whole front strut assembly must be removed. Also, plan on getting the car aligned afterward, so that may add to the install cost (see other threads for the hazards of alignment on our cars).
The install for the swaybar should be one hour or less, depending on your mechanic's minimum billing interval.
Bottom line is that I am glad that I did the install. The ride/handling balance is just what I wanted. And, like Dave said, the car looks great lowered (front and rear). The tires fill the wheel wells better (and you won't have to go the route of 20" wheels!!).

I agree with what every one else has said. You do sacrifice a little in the ride comfort but, it still rides better than most other cars and the handling and the new stance is well worth it.
