I have seen alot of marauder wrecks on theis site and i know its an accident and its not always avoidable but stop killing all the mercs:mad2: on the other hand if u have any wrecked mercs i would like to buy them to put back together. They are never the same but i can make them close and save them from the bone yard
thanks

Hey they are making my car more rare and valuable! Just think how few un-crashed, unrepaired examples of this car there might be in 20 years...

Just like the X100, there are only 500 of those left, and they sell on ebay for 10 grand

LOL yeah I was just kidding. I know its not going to appreciate like a Hemi cuda or anything. But maybe my car's value goes up $10 every time someone totals another one?

I drive mine its just not my daily driver but guys what happens when very few marauders are left, that will bring the end of marauder meets all together. Out of the 6 marauders that i know of in my town i own 3 (i still need my blue):bigcry: There were 11,052 marauders i think and now we are prolly down to 9000 give or take a few. i own every year of every color of 94-96 impala ss and they were like 67000 in production and i only know of three others in town besides mine Yea i know some people are going to yell because i said impala :argue: but its the best example i could get. I was a big SS fan and to be truthful with u the first time i drove a marauder it was a big let down. I drove one off of the floor at the chi town auto show it it couldnt even turn the tires over i was like never mind. Then i figured out i could turn the TC of by pulling the relay:banana2: and then 4:10 gears really bring the car to life. Who needs TC anyway. But my point is the cars are already finding there way to the gave yard and we dont have that many out there to begin with. Back in 2000 we could go down the road and give the "Impala Wave" I can still give the Impala Wave today but in the 30000 miles i have put on the MM's i could only give the "Marauder Wave" once. We need to keep the MM's on the road When u cant give the wave anymore its time to pull them off of the daily driver list. Our mint 87 Turbo cube stays in the garage till a car show because there are very few left with no rust. It may not make me money but thats not the point a time comes when it starts to become history. Do i think the marauders are ment to spend the entire year in a glass shell....no are they collectors cars....yes will u see them on the barrett jackson auction in 20 years......im sure of it. All colors will be worth something blues more than the rest and so on and so on

I own one myself i bought my 03 black marauder a couple years ago when an ***hole ran a red light and wrecked the front of my impala no frame damage car had about 120000 miles and never sat out side a day in its life so it was in perfect condition, insurance totaled it and gave us 18000 for the car bought it back for 800 My first marauder was 17000 and i paid 14000 dad paid the rest so that i would fix the imp. for the other two the dtr and the silver we went half and half thats kinda how we do things for the farm he never really drives them because of a fitting deal hes 6'7 and the imps have better head room im 6'4 and fit alittle better so i drive the mercs + the have more creature comforts :D Dad is a mechanic and we have sheds to store cars so he collects them we can never seam to sell them tho

Yes...yes it is totally avoidable.
1) Stop driving in torrential down pours on oem tires. Or atleast be smart enough to slow waaaaayyyy down.
2) Stop driving in snow with oem tires. No option here. Just DON'T do it.
3)Stop leaving your car parked unlocked at major funtions so that someone can set fire to it.
These alone would have prevented 71% of the Marauder losses.

Becuase we didnt settle with the insurance for a long time. Never settle with them till u get what u want. Every day the car sits inside the body shop the insurance has to pay storage. We pay alot of money to one company for everything house, cars, farm, and never have that many claims. So the car sat till i got what i wanted

No wonder the price of good corn wiskey is so expensive.:D:lol:

Yea corn prices a couple years ago = $2 a bushel not even worth running the combine so ya i never saw any of the money from that corn wiskey. E85 is helping the prices out now :cowboy:

Uh oh, now you done it. A little advice from one farmer to another, DON'T mention E-85 on here again.
There are some folks here that will accuse you of having "dirty money", being in bed with George Bush, and trying to drown AlGore with your weather altering/ice cap melting diesel-powered tractors.
Out of curiosity, how many acres are you running?

I think that E85 is the worst thing that could happen, its not even worth it, around here it about 20 cents cheeper and if u have a vehical that gets 18 now ur down to 12. Last year all my corn went to E85 production and i think it is crap, i grow corn to feed the world not try to half ass power it. I would try to sell it in a different maket but E85 is the only market in my area. :(:sorry:

That's interesting. Ethanol is between .80 to $1/gallon cheaper here. The corn from here can go to the river (the Mississippi) or stay here and make ethanol. Anything that goes to the river gets sent over seas.
Only my cattle have stayed stateside.
Oh well. Moot point anyway since I'm getting out of the business this summer. The rest of you can go make your own food.
