Hi everyone,

My name is Mike and I wanted to introduce myself. I live in the Chicago area and find the board very informative. I liked the Marauders when they first came out and I thought production was ended too soon.

I am looking at a 2003 Marauder with 34,000 miles. Please excuse this if it is these are dumb questions, but I have seen these in other areas and I would like to learn.

What is an OSASIS report and how do I obtain one?

How do I know which transmission was used in the 2003 Marauder?

What is a Marauder 300A?

Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks again for letting me join.

OASIS is the Ford dealer maintenance and repair tracking system. If you PM the vin of the car you are looking at to RoyLPita he will run it through OASIS and let you know what has been done to the car at dealerships.

4R70W I think is what was used in the 2003, 4R75W in the 2004s. Mebbe I have the characters mixed up some. Dunno. 300A denotes the earliest made Marauders, usually they have little extras such as separate clock in dash, map pockets on front of front seats, remote fuel door release, fullsize spare tire - things like that.

I've called back a couple times but can't reach him. I haven't given up yet and if it does not work out there will be others. Thanks for asking.

I wanted to thank everyone for their help and wanted to give an update on my search. I looked at one in Decatur while it looked good, it had a mod with guages, vac guage, and some type of gauge on the driver window pillar. I was hoping to stay stock and make the mods myself when the time comes. I had a bad experience with a GM I had a mod on once.

I am hoping to purchase one and go to a meet soon. Depending on the MM, I am willing to travel to take a good look too.

Is it in bad taste to get heated seats installed? I loved those on the GM and would like that option again. Speed and heated seats, heaven on earth!
