My A/C is still giving me problems with the "Blend Door", or so the code says... What do I need to fix/replace to get this problem resolved?

Here's the original post from my dad.. Near the end is where he referenced the new problem too..

Thanks!!

The blend door is a big task. I would try replacing the EATC control head first because there have been a lot of problems with it and it is easy to replace. Borrow one or get one from a junk yard. When my EATC failed air of various temps came from both upper and lower vents at the some time. Good luck.

Is there a tutorial on how to do this somewhere? Or do I need to get a Haynes manual?

Thanks John!!

If you're asking about the control head -
From pass's side edge of dash, remove the center (Matrix) trim piece by pulling straight out from dash and work towards the steering column. Remove the four (7mm) bolts holding the A/C head. Disconnect the two electrical connectors and the vacuum manifold (may have two 10mm speed screws). Do the same to Dad's car and swap parts. Get Jeff or Dave to help and you can do it while Mom and Dad are out to dinner. If that's not the problem, don't worry about it, you lost twenty minutes. If that was, now it's your Dad's. Don't tell him I told you this . . .
