The officer comes up to the car and asks if I know why I got pulled over.
I said..."I think so!"
He tells me tinting is illegal and so is not having a front license plate :coolman:
I said .."yes I know sir, doesnt it look awesome?"
He says..."yeah! It does..Have a nice day"
...and then my parking prake in the drivers side wheel self destructed on the way home.

Zack's tint os 5%, it makes the car look like a cave inside. I told that guy to write him, sigh, I'll have to talk to him again.

That just proves karma is really a factor in life. You get buy on a ticket and get paid back by a malfunction. :D I'd rather rebuild a wheel than pay a ticket any day.
You need to be down here in the SUNSHINE state with tint at that rating.

Guys the tint looks cool but after doing a ride along with IL State Police it is really a dangerous thing for the officer. The officer just want to do his job and get home without any problems. I would rather see an officer cite for tint windows rather than seatbelts. just my :twocents:
For the record, I wanted lighter tint, but I couldnt resist the dark stuff when it was choosing time.
Its AWESOME

Not to crap on Zack's thread, cause I think the tint is cool, but I don't think the whole "pull you over for tint alone" is fair. If I'm driving and respecting the laws and a LEO runs my tags and comes up clean, then there should be no reason to fear me or even care if my windows are tinted. Now, if I'm weaving all over the road or am wanted for some reason, then call in the cavalry before even approaching the car. To me, this whole tint law thing is just a big "fleecing of America".
Pulling a car over with tinted windows? Get on the bull horn and order them to lower all the windows before getting out of your squad car. Problem solved.

Works every time. LOVE asking a cop if he likes the way my tint looks. 87.7272724% of the time, no ticket.

I have been pulled over once and yelled at after the cop measured tint (25% front and rear) but didn't get a ticket for it. I hope I never do... I can't imagine driving one of these cars without tint at least as dark as mine.
I've never been pulled over for my tint but then it's pretty light and you can see my ugly face through the window.

I got pulled and had to remove the tint from my front side windows. Bummer. But it was my fault... I shouldn't have run the stop sign.
