Dennis,

I couldn't find the MM high amp alternator kit you mentioned in another thread, anywhere on your site. What am I missing?? Looking for price, max output, and output at idle.
Lastly, is the alt in the same size factory housing? I'm getting a Trilogy, and don't want to have to ditch the new alt when that happens.

Thanks!

I have not added it to the site, but no matter just give me a call it is the same size, just a higher out put and I can get them powder coated in silver.

03-04 MARAUDER 200 Amp. Alternator Kit

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/6/03blue.jpg

1 - Reinhart 200 Amp alternator with original style clutch pulley installed (The cultch pulley allows continuous generation of power, aids in reducing harmonic vibration and alternator damage. It can release up to an additional 9hp during shifting.)

1 – Special Wiring kit including:
36 inch 4 gauge passenger side ground cable
26 inch 4 gauge drivers side ground cable
32 inch 8 gauge main charging wire (alternator to ANL fuse block)
10 inch 8 gauge main charging wire (ANL fuse block to fuse box power post)
ANL Fuse Block
200 Amp ANL fuse

The alternator will mount and use the existing wiring in addition to the wiring included in the kit.
Torque power post nuts to 71 Lb-in., alternator bracket bolts to 89 Lb-in. and alternator bottom front bolts to 18 Lb-ft. DO NOT over tighten.
The 32” 8 gauge red main charging wire will stack on top of the black existing charging wire from the opposite side connecting to the alternator main charging post. Pull the rubber boot from the OEM wire over both. The original wire would still connect from the passenger side and the new 32” 8ga. power wire would attach from the drivers side, making a U-turn following the original wire over to the ANL 200 amp fuse then the other 10” 8ga. new power wire will continue to the power post on the end of fuse box on the passenger side. The driver's side ground cable will connect from the alternator bracket driver’s side bolt to the ABS Brake control mounting bracket bolt as that bracket is welded to the frame. The passenger side ground cable will connect from the passenger side bolt on the alternator bracket to the battery ground terminal on the body that the negative battery terminal is connected to. Install questions call Reinhart 1-904-276-5003.
Stack the new charging wire on top of original black wire.
Total Kit Uses 2 charging wires (original black wire and new 8ga. red)

Well Steve is working on Billys car, installing a smaller puley and power pipe, we plan on taking this to Bradenton Sunday along with my car I have switched to the new HPX maf ro the car is on the dyno, its fairly rich with only 15 degrees of timing and less the 15 PSI, I will post more pictures of both cars later, again thank you for all the sales.

Built motor, Fox Lake heads, Vortech Air to Air JT trim, 60 lb injectors PI 3500 triple disk and SCT tunning the only way to fly. Billy's car should be very close to this, and the other 03 I am building for a man in New York.

Dennis, I'm happy for ya. I know you've seen the ups and downs over the last couple years and I'm glad you're up! The cars are awesome! The products are great! The tunes are kick ass!!

I'll be up there this year to convert the Procharger to Blow-Thru #1!!! (And get a real tune...)

Thanks Zack, I was just getting ready to ask the price.

Dennis, does that include the IC and how much boost is it capable of?

Yes that is with the IC and with a 3.6 pulley its about 9 PSI I think its safe to go to a 3.3, this kit with a 2.8 would make 15 PSI easy.

The NOVI-1200 It contains highly advanced computer design gears that feature an optimized helical profile, which allow for near silent operation.

Does, the cars equipped with the Novi's, will they too sound like jets taking off? Or is that only a "Vortech" thing lol.

What?
Centrifugals have always made more power than Trilogy's Boost for Boost.

Thats a procharger thing

All centrifugals . It's the vanes cutting the air. The rest of the high pitched sound comes from the gears which step up the impeller speed above the pulley speed (4.1x in a Procharger D1SC for example). Based on the centrifugals I've heard at idle, Procharger is loudest, then Vortech, then Paxton NOVI. They all 'cut' the air with vanes, but the gear whine is in that order. The vane sound can be reduced by muffling it by use of an air box so the sound can't escape the filter. Dennis' kits have such a box. His kits are quieter than Procharger. But it's an individual choice.

All of them get SIGNIFICANTLY more quiet off idle and above.

The advertising in Dennis' post above eludes to the way the step up gears are cut to reduce the gear noise.

Ahh I see, you guys teach me once again. Yea, I do agree though, I've hear Vortech's and ATI's before, ATI's are definately louder at idle.

So in the Vortech category, I know the SQ trim is less noisy than the S trim. But which is less noisy, the JT trim or the T trim?

THAT you have to ask Dennis!!!!

According to their site, though, J trims and T trims have straight cut gears, so they probly sound like a Procharger.

God Bless America !

Dennis, you are making this too friggin hard to resist.

Seriously, how bad is this for the longevity of my engine?

Any Credit for the SCT 2 I already have?

Are the Kooks headers highly reccomended if theis 'unit' goes on?

I just paid of my house, Maruader I will pay off in March. Now how long will it take me to save enough?????

I went 95K of which 92.5K was moded. 184 runs down the 1,320'.

Some % stats;
Date Mileage Mod Best ET
7/18/2006 64,283 12.28
3/25/2005 42,882 S/C 12.28
3/5/2004 20,257 Brakes, Cobra Exh, PI TQ, Trans Pan 13.74
5/14/2003 2,500 Chip, UD, 4:10, Stat, Plugs 14.27

Runs Wins S/C
184 Runs 126 Wins 88
184 126 0.684783 %

Thanks to Dennis I win 68.48% of the time I line up againest a car at the track, any car at random!

The car kept throwing a CEL which I ignored too long. Turned out to be fuel pumps going bad. Thats what hurt the motor.

Rather than patch a high mileage I went for a complete Regeneration.
