Howdy All,

I've just about had it with this miserable overdrive transmission!
The shift points, -RPM, and -speed are completely wrong and make the car a pain to drive....

I've resorted to locking into 2nd gear and driving around with only the torque converter "adjusting" my ratio. I use the "Overdrive off" switch for everything else.

Hey you hot rodders and vendors out there: gimme a 5-speed with decent ratios and a massive clutch. Let's do what we can to put some smooth fun driving back into this awesome car!

Maybe the 4.30's and a chip reprogram will settle me down......

After I installed my Reinhart chip I wrote that I would pay the chip price JUST for the way it shifts now.No more jumping to fourth as quick as it can. Nice even shifts. The extra hp is a bonus.
Buy a chip or get the ECM flashed and start enjoying that car.:D

You might want to contact Jack Roush for your transmission setup. They did 18 COBRAVICS for bondurant driving school in 1999. They took a 1999 P.I. and added the complete power train fom the 99 Cobras.

Yup, that would fix me up just fine.

I want a clean shift lever boot mod and professionally built mounts and all the necessary electronic bypasses.

Did they use the T-5 for the Rousch CobraVics? That would be awesome!
