Cool! Our own playground!

I'd like to open this forum with an announcement, err...maybe more an invitation? Okay, this is a dare.

In June of '04, the Route 66 Association of Illinois will sponsor a Route 66 tour cruise, from the beginning in downtown Chicago, to the Missouri state line. It's an overnight cruise and something to consider if you're a Route 66 fan.

I am, I've traveled this road (as much of it that remains) a number of times in my life. My first adventure was at the ripe old age of 18 on a motorcycle! Well, I'll never do that again, but I will drive Route 66 anytime I can. Let's get the Windy City Marauders on the road together, mark your calendars now. I don't have a specific date yet, but block out the first weekend in June 2004.

For details and other related news, tune in at www.il66assoc.org

I dare you!

Thank you, Gary, you are a true friend.

Zack, you got a target date for my Pig Roast yet? I'd love to see a line of MMs on your Highland the likes of our "dyno day" parking lot, and some fat tummies growing in your back yard.

When you get your kit, I'll start calling for the pig. Anyone interested in attending, e-mail me at Sergntmac@aol.com I'll keep you posted on developements.

Whowhee...this could be a fun day!

Soowhee...Soowhee...

Mac,
I would be in for the Rt. 66. I drove from Chgo. to California to deliver a new S600 V12 to a VIP client this spring. From Texas to California I jumped on and off 40 to Old Route 66. It was great. It was fun to step back into the 50's & 60's. My 15 year old son thought that I was nuts after the third stop...........

Did anyone show for Union Grove this w/e? Sorry I bailed too but it seemed that this was not going to be well attended. Therefore I opted for a long great weekend away.

Yeah, Madman and I went for breakfast at the Cracker Barrell in Waukegan, and then headed up to Union Grove. After Gary spent $35 and I spent $48 to get in we were turned away at tec inspect because we were wearing shorts. The long and short of it was that we drove all the way up there for nothing. You would have thought that the gal taking our money at the gate would have said something.
