Wow! What a great time. We still have tomorrow to go!!! Thankfully, we had some cloud cover to keep the temps down. Although it was miserably hot this morning, there was no measurable rain throughout the picnic!

The turnout at the picnic was tremendous. I believe we had 45 coming. I'm certain we got that amount if not more. It was great to see the Orlando contingent (Uncle Buck, Oldekid, & Bruce) - loud mufflerless cars and all. We had a couple special guests from out of state. John Kuhn came from Detroit for the weekend. It was great to meet him. This strange couple from Rhode Island showed up, also. Shermanator is still visiting as well as Bob B. from Massachusetts.

Scott Beer came up with his family in their minivan from the SE coast. It was awesome to meet and talk with him. That poor guy had no clue the snake pit he was walking into! Three dozen guys with under-achieving cars.

Got to meet a batch of people I've only PM'ed or talked to before - Jimimac, cougar9150, Red, psychosilo, Paul, and Arejayess (Yeah, Kara is smokin' hot). It was great to meet y'all!

There was a bunch I met for the first time (and didn't get to talk to enough) like D-Rock (And D-Rock Senior), Not-5.0, Mills Marauder, Finster (And Finster senior), Blown38, Piglet50, Jeffsmm and MMMan.

Of course, there were the staples - Dennis and Penny, Dennis and Sheila, Ghost and SouLRioT (Dudes, I hope you guys enjoyed this one!), Kenny, Roy L. Pita, the Jimlam clan (Matt03 and Blanco inclusive), the DJV5150 clan (marauderboi inclusive), Smokie (I know what Mrs. Smokie is going through, it happened to me at last year's!), the Blackmobile clan, StevenJ, and The Donk (Mike, the old school Mercury emblems rock).

A very special thank-you goes out to Starman and USLYDAWG. Thank you both for getting there early to help out the cause. You guys helped make the whole day happen!

Lastly, the people who made this event happen -
The vendors and donators! Wow, some great prizes were given out (Ask me how I know)!
Cobra25, TJA, Magindat, and Nero! Well, then again, there was that strange couple from Rhode Island . . .
You all deserve grande-kudos for everything you did! Way to go, thank you for all the hard work. I know how hard it is to arrange an event like this and you guys killed it, KILLED IT!

Oh and lets not forget my immortalization as Flava-J!

Jman,
As a member of the "muffler impaired" Orlando contigency, I couldn't have said it better.

Thanks to MercuryMarauder.net, and the generous contributions from the vendors, it was a great event.

I can't say enough about the SSM members that got this together. I won't try to mention everyone individually, because I'm afraid I will forget someone. You guys really know how to do this. Every year gets better. What a great turnout!

I'm glad that MM.net members who couldn't physically be here, could also enjoy the raffle prizes. Members from as far away as Hawaii were named in the drawings. That was so cool.

Good job guys!

Looks like you guys had a great time and a great turnout !!! :2thumbs: If I had done some better planning, I could have joined in on the fun. Spent Thursday and Friday in Melbourne, FL on business. Flew out of Orlando late Friday. Of course, I would have been embarrassed driving in with an Impala LT rental -- :o

Well shucks, since I live near Melbourne we could have certainly
arranged a ride over in a Marauder (S/C'd no less), leave the Cheby
behind!

Charlie, he would have done it too, bald tires and all.

As for me, I had a wonderful time. Not too many knew about me bringing my mother's brownies. oh well. maybe next time. As always, it was a pleasure meeting some new faces that go with the screen names. One actually thought that I was "not for real". My answer to that was "I'm not fictitious".

Thanx again.

It was a most excellent time. I enjoyed meeting new folks and putting names to faces. I even took a couple things home from the raffle. I wish I had met more of you folks there, but I will do better next time. I didn't go to the track, but I heard there were over a dozen cars there. I can't wait to see the times, and also see who posted the best reaction time.

All the cars, the folks, the great location and everything else, who could ask for more. Hey Flava-J, what time is it?

I can't wait till the next time. Thanks to all who made this possible, it was a blast!

I had the time of my life, The MM.net folks (Bunny, Overlord....) you are just the kindest and most generous folks. The food was great - the cars made an amazing presence. The convoy up was 16 strong andI am already anticipating next time. I took pics and THEY WILL get to the right people.

After talking to you at the track on Sunday, I realized that. I thought I should let Saturday's recap stand though. It was really great meeting you. I wish you well with the 427 monster. I can't wait to hear about it after you get to the track.
