I have to pick up a Matress, it is 39x75 inches.
Is it going to fit in my Marauder?
What damage would I do if I strapped it to the roof?

The 39" will fit in front of the back seat. The 75. I dunno. I carry 4' stuff regularly with room to spare on each side. Just measure armrest to armrest across the back seat.
It won't hurt the roof. Make sure the car and mattress have no abrasives between the (dirt). Make sure you strap it as far forward and as far aft as possible with the DOORS OPEN. I have strapped stuff on frame window cars and done it with the windows down only and was unable to get in the car!!! Had to get in and out Dukes of Hazzard style!

Oh yeah Marauder have window frames. Subaru's do not, made carrying stuff easy.
Would a towel work between the roof and matress?
Seems I will have to measure stuff.
I did check the online measurements for shoulder room and hip room but they top out at 60inches so I'm doubtful it will fit inside.

Shist. I remember I needed a bunch of treated lumber for a deck I built for my pool. No one was around with their truck and I need it right away...
The biggest car i had was my '90 Lincoln Town car. I put about 1200 lb on the roof of that thing. Was only a 8 mi trip home. You should have seen the look on everyones face when they saw all the wood on my stinkin' Lincoln.
I had 4 pcs 2x10x20' the 4x4x16' posts and all the decking and 2x4x10's
Only made a few ripples, that popped right out.
I do not recommend doing this to your Marauder, but these bodies and frames will take more than most.

Dude you need to just get the K-car Limo...when the mattress catches air and starts grinding either itself or whatever "soft" medium you placed between it and the roof into the paint, you'll feel better behind the wheel of a K-car limo than a MM.
And this community of MM enthusiasts will too!

I checked with Captain Obvious, he says to borrow a friends truck or rent one. You don't want to know what he said last.

Just to clarify. The Linc was 14 years old, and at the end of it's useful life after seeing 13 Buffalo (salty) winters. I was the second owner.

I checked prices locally and found a better Mattress at Ikea. A foam one was the firmest, same as I use right now and picked that up. Surprisingly it fit in the trunk no problem.
8" thick, 39" wide, 75" long. And rolled into a 41 lbs cylinder.
I wasn't sure it would fit in the trunk when I wheeled it over but after dropping it in I was all smiles.

I did find a company that makes roof holders, not racks, for our cars. Nobody else does.

Go on click on a kit see what demo car they use.

I was thinking how nice it would have been to have a 6.5 foot long 50 inch wide box too.
I really do miss my old station wagon sometimes.
